I represent Colorado’s Third District, and I will always put our communities first. When I took office, I swore an oath to the Constitution and to the people I serve. Every vote I cast is guided by what is best for this district and the long-term strength of our country. Leadership requires independent judgment and the willingness to stand on principle. My focus remains on delivering results for rural Colorado: • Strengthening American energy production • Supporting our farmers and ranchers • Restoring fiscal discipline • Protecting our water resources • Backing our veterans and law enforcement That’s the job I was elected to do — and I’ll keep doing it with conviction, optimism, and a deep gratitude for the people I serve.

Stopped by H&R Block in Grand Junction to talk with Jennifer and her team about how this year’s tax season is shaping up across #CO03. They’re seeing a clear trend. Many filers are taking home more than they did last year. Jennifer walked me through a few anonymized returns that tell the story. A single mom working as a waitress here in Mesa County is receiving nearly $5,000 more this year. A married couple with kids is seeing meaningful relief. And a retired widow is paying less tax on her Social Security. We also talked about the new child savings accounts, often referred to as “Trump Accounts,” which give kids a head start with a one-time investment and the opportunity to build savings over time. From what they’re seeing on the ground, this is having one of the most significant impacts on working families in years. Grateful to Jennifer and her team for sharing what they’re seeing firsthand.

Today we mark National Medal of Honor Day and honor those who have received our nation’s highest military decoration. Here in #CO03, Pueblo is known as the “Home of Heroes,” and is the only city in the country to have had four living Medal of Honor recipients: William J. Crawford, Carl L. Sitter, Raymond J. “Jerry” Murphy, and Drew D. Dix. Their legacy is preserved at the Medal of Honor Plaza and continues to shape this community. Grateful to represent a district with such a deep tradition of service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸

Spoke on the House floor in support of my bipartisan Made in America Jobs Act, which has now passed the House. For too long, federal policy has focused on helping communities recover after jobs leave. This bill takes a different approach. It gives communities the tools to compete for jobs coming back to the United States and to grow American manufacturing. That matters for #CO03, where we have the workforce, the resources, and the drive to support new investment and job growth. This is about removing barriers, strengthening local economies, and making sure more jobs are created here at home.

Hearing directly from those who have worn the uniform is essential to making sure decisions in Washington are grounded in real experience, not assumptions. I appreciated the perspective of Department Junior Vice Commander Tina Kyprios of Post 44, who shared insights that reflect the experiences of veterans across Colorado. We discussed the transition to civilian life, access to care, and ensuring the VA delivers on its commitments. These are not abstract issues. They shape the lives of veterans and their families every day, and they should shape our policymaking as well. #CO03

Dennis Coyle is a constituent from #CO03. I’m grateful to see him on his way home after more than a year in Taliban custody. Thank you to the Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs for the work they do to reunite Americans with their families. I’ve seen firsthand the coordination and persistence these efforts require. We will keep working until every American held abroad is brought home. 🇺🇸
Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs@StateSPEHA

Dennis Coyle is on his way home! We remain committed to freeing all Americans wrongfully detained abroad. Today the Taliban took an important step in the right direction, now they must release all remaining Americans immediately, including Mahmood Habibi and Paul Overby.

Washington should not stand in the way of bringing jobs back to America or expanding opportunity in #CO03. Today, my bipartisan Made in America Jobs Act passed the House. It updates federal economic development programs so communities can use existing tools to compete for jobs returning to the United States and grow domestic manufacturing. Fewer barriers. Stronger communities. Jobs coming home.

Relieved and grateful to hear that Dennis Coyle, a constituent from Colorado’s Third District, has been released after over a year of being held by the Taliban and is now on his way home. My sincere thanks and congratulations to President Trump and Secretary Rubio for their leadership and commitment in securing Dennis’s safe return. This Administration has shown consistently that bringing Americans home from unjust detention abroad is a top priority. We look forward to welcoming Dennis back to Colorado and are keeping his family in our thoughts during this long-awaited reunion. #CO03 @POTUS @SecRubio
Fox News@FoxNews

COMING HOME: American man Dennis Coyle is returning to the United States more than one year after he was arrested and held by the Taliban without charges, Special Envoy for Hostage Affairs Adam Boehler told Fox News. Coyle spent nearly two decades working in Afghanistan as an academic, and was taken from his home in Kabul in January 2025 by Taliban intelligence and held in near-solitary confinement.

Spent time at the Capitol with Colorado’s Republican senators to talk through the issues that matter most to families across our state. We focused on reducing costs, expanding access to reliable and affordable energy, increasing housing supply, supporting Colorado’s agriculture industry, and improving health care and insurance affordability. These are practical challenges that require practical solutions. I look forward to continuing this work to deliver results for #CO03 and Colorado.

Huge congratulations to the students and coaches from Alamosa High School on the Mean Moose Knowledge Bowl Team for winning the 3A State Knowledge Bowl title! Their success reflects the kind of focus, preparation, and commitment to excellence that sets students apart both in and out of the classroom. Academic competitions like this highlight the importance of investing in education and supporting students as they pursue opportunities to grow and succeed. This is a proud achievement for Alamosa, the San Luis Valley, and #CO03. Read more about their success here: alamosanews.com/stories/mean-m…

Met with representatives from Colorado Mountain West this week to hear directly about the challenges facing individuals and families living with Type 1 diabetes. We discussed access to insulin, the cost of care, and the day-to-day realities of managing a condition that requires constant attention. For many families, reliable access to treatment and support is essential. Conversations like this matter. They help ensure federal policy reflects the real challenges patients face and supports better care, affordability, and long-term outcomes. #CO03

Met with Grand Junction Fire Chief Peter Skeris and Interim Deputy Chief of Operations Gus Hendricks to talk about the needs of firefighters here in #CO03. We discussed readiness, staffing, and the demands of protecting a growing community in a high-risk environment. The Grand Junction Fire Department handles everything from emergency response and wildfire risk to technical rescues and community safety. Grateful for the men and women who step forward to serve and protect others. Their work requires discipline, training, and a willingness to put themselves in harm’s way for the rest of us. I’ll keep working to ensure they have the support and resources they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.

Today marks 34 days of a partial Department of Homeland Security shutdown—driven by Senate Democrats’ refusal to support funding that keeps our country safe. I voted 3 times with House Republicans to keep DHS funded and ensure our border agents, TSA officers, and law enforcement have the resources they need to do their jobs. Senate Democrats chose politics over security. Coloradans expect Washington to take public safety seriously. That means securing the border, supporting law enforcement, and making sure DHS has the tools to carry out its mission. #CO03

I had the opportunity to meet with students and parents from Sangre de Cristo High School in Alamosa County as they toured our nation’s Capitol. It’s always encouraging to hear directly from young Coloradans and see the curiosity they bring as they learn about our government and their role in it. I’m grateful these students made the journey from Southern Colorado to Washington, D.C. Meeting with constituents and supporting students like these is one of the most important parts of serving our district in DC. #CO03

Met with Colorado fire chiefs to discuss how we prepare for wildfire season and support communities across #CO03. Appreciate Chief Leif Sackett of Colorado River Fire Rescue, Chief Randy Black of Durango Fire and Rescue, and Ken Watkins, Executive Director of the Colorado State Fire Chiefs and former Grand Junction Fire Chief, for sharing their perspective from the front lines. We talked about readiness, resources, and the challenges of operating in a dry, high-risk environment. Their experience is critical to protecting lives and property as wildfire risk continues to grow across Colorado’s Third District.

Today, H.R. 556, the Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act, passed the House. I co-sponsored this bill to ensure continued access to hunting and fishing and to prevent unnecessary federal restrictions on ammunition and tackle. With millions of acres of public land in #CO03, access to these lands is essential for sportsmen across our region. This legislation helps keep decisions grounded in sound science and practical impacts, not policies that increase costs or limit participation in the outdoors.

Proud to introduce the Don Young–Doug LaMalfa Indian Buffalo Management Act with Teresa Leger Fernández, Julie Fedorchak, and Dan Newhouse. This bipartisan bill supports tribes and tribal organizations in managing buffalo herds, restoring habitat, and expanding economic opportunities tied to conservation. Buffalo have long been central to the history, culture, and livelihoods of tribal communities. This legislation puts tribes in the lead, ensuring conservation efforts are driven by those best positioned to sustain and manage these herds for the long term. #CO03 🦬

This week is National Agriculture Week, and I’m glad to recognize the farmers, ranchers, and producers who keep #CO03 running. Over the past year, I’ve spent time on operations across Western and Southern Colorado, hearing directly about the challenges and opportunities facing agriculture today. Those conversations shape the work we’re doing in Washington. Agriculture is the backbone of our region. It supports jobs, sustains rural communities, and helps feed the country. As we work toward the next Farm Bill, my focus is making sure our producers have the tools, certainty, and support they need to stay competitive and keep producing for generations to come. 🇺🇸

Met with Dylan Heberlein of Grand Junction Regional Airport and members of the Colorado Airport Operators Association to discuss the role regional airports play across #CO03. These airports are essential to keeping rural communities strong and competitive. They connect residents, support local businesses, and drive economic growth across Western and Southern Colorado. I also shared an update on my bill, H.R. 6168, the Airport TIFIA Financing Certainty Act, which expands financing options for airport infrastructure so communities can invest in safe, reliable air service.
