It was great to join Senator Dave McCormick and FBI Director Kash Patel for an important event on combating fentanyl and drug trafficking across Pennsylvania. This event brought together law enforcement officials from across the Commonwealth, to address the devastating impact these drugs have had on our communities and to strengthen coordination at every level. Good to see my colleague Congressman Ryan Mackenzie in attendance as well as so many dedicated state and local elected officials committed to keeping our communities safe. We will continue working together to support law enforcement, hold traffickers accountable, and protect Pennsylvania families.

This afternoon, I joined The Bob Cordaro Show on @WILKNewsradio to discuss the ongoing DHS shutdown and what needs to be done to end it. The bill the House received on Friday was not satisfactory. It read that funding for “U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement” and “Border Security Operations” shall be set at $0. We should be using every available tool, whether that’s advancing a reconciliation package or removing the filibuster to ensure we can pass legislation to fully fund DHS as soon as possible. I joined @MorningsMaria to discuss the latest on DHS funding and the path forward to end the shutdown. The bill the House received, delivered in the middle of the night on Friday, failed to fund border security and immigration enforcement, effectively zeroing out the very agencies responsible for keeping our country safe. That is simply unacceptable given the scale of the illegal immigration that has occurred. We have two options to resolve this shutdown: (1) use reconciliation to fund national security because the Democrats refuse to, or (2) remove the filibuster so we can reopen DHS. Either way, this needs to happen immediately so the American people do not have to suffer any further at the hands of this Democrat induced shutdown.

I joined Newsmax’s Wake Up America this morning to discuss the latest on DHS funding. The White House and Republicans in Congress have been negotiating in good faith to reach a resolution, but Democrat leadership has refused any solution that doesn't defund border patrol and immigration enforcement. Despite this, the House passed legislation on Friday to fund all of DHS, including TSA and the Coast Guard, as well as key operations like border security and immigration enforcement. And thanks to action taken by President Trump, TSA agents are paid beginning today, which has already resulted in reduced wait times at airports. Watch my full interview below:

Today, we honor the legacy and valor of the Americans who bravely served in the Vietnam War. Across our nation, and especially throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, I have had the privilege of meeting many Vietnam veterans and thanking them personally for their service. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to our country will never be forgotten. On behalf of a grateful nation, thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your example. We honor you today and every day.

After four years of failed policies that allowed millions of illegal immigrants into our country, along with drugs and human trafficking, Democrat leadership is now opposing deportations, creating chaos at our airports, and hoping the American people will blame President Trump and Republicans. The bill we received does not fund DHS. It sets Border Security Operations and ICE at $0. Homeland Security Investigations, which plays a critical role in stopping drug, sex, and child trafficking, is left out as well. At the same time, for the second time in a year, TSA officers are being forced to work without pay. That is unfair to them and to the traveling public. A short-term CR is not perfect, but it gets DHS running, travel flowing during busy Easter and Passover travel, and gives Congress time needed to reach a long-term agreement. Congress needs to do what’s right for the American people: fund Homeland Security and end the chaos.

I joined @NEWSMAX today to expose how Democrats are shifting the goalposts to keep DHS shut down while misleading the American people. We're seeing the consequences in real time like longer airport wait times during the busy spring break travel season. In contrast, Republicans and the White House remain at the negotiating table, committed to finding a solution. Republicans stand ready to fund TSA, FEMA, the Coast Guard, and other agencies that keep Americans safe. Democrats, instead, seem focused on creating more chaos, assigning blame, and scoring so-called political points rather than prioritizing the American people.

According to @SecScottBessent, 10% of the federal budget is lost to fraud each year and according to @DrOz and @CMSGov, perhaps as much as 20% is scammed from programs meant to serve hardworking Americans. Today, I took to the House floor to share how Republicans in Congress and the Trump Administration are taking decisive action to crack down on this kind of waste, abuse, and fraud. @POTUS’s Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, chaired by Vice President Vance, is exactly the accountability measure Washington has needed for far too long. I am committed to working with the Task Force to protect taxpayer dollars and drain the swamp once and for all.

Today, I questioned @BlockchainAssn and @Nasdaq on the benefits of both native and wrapper models. The utility of tokenization for retail investors and our economy cannot be understated, and @FinancialCmte Republicans are committed to ensuring America is at the forefront of tokenization innovation. @POTUS has promised to make the U.S. the most pro-crypto nation in the world, and after passing the GENIUS and CLARITY Acts out of the House, tokenization is the next step to deliver on that promise.

It is unbelievably cruel that Democrats have forced TSA agents to sleep in their cars and line up at food pantries. They've made it harder for law-abiding Americans to clear airport security than for illegal immigrants to enter this country. While Democrats keep moving the goalposts to prolong this shutdown, @POTUS and Republicans have remained at the negotiating table, ready to restore the government's full operating capabilities. While DHS employees are being held hostage, Philly DA Larry Krasner, arguably the worst in the city's history, is threatening to arrest them. Democrats will keep obstructing President Trump's America First agenda and sowing chaos for as long as they see political advantage in it.
