It’s going to be interesting how the Yankees handle this.
If Lagrange can harness this type of stuff as a starting pitcher, that’s where he’s obviously most valuable to the team for the majority of his career.
But this season, the Yankees likely have enough SP to get by. The bullpen is likely going to be a need at some point and Lagrange can contribute there in a major way. You don’t want to stunt his development as a starter either.
Inevitably, the needs of the team come first and I do think we see Lagrange in the bullpen this season. Hopefully, he can pitch some high leverage innings and fill the holes left by Williams/Weaver.
