Yesterday, we were proud to celebrate Professor Mary McCarron, Director of TCAID, as the inaugural recipient of the Dean’s Award for Distinguished Service to Health Sciences at @tcddublin 👏 This honour recognises her outstanding leadership and lasting impact across research, education, and policy in intellectual disability and ageing. The award ceremony also marked the unveiling of a new portrait of Professor McCarron, commemorating her two terms as Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences—the first woman and nurse to hold the role at Trinity. 🎉 Congratulations, Professor McCarron, on this well-deserved recognition! We also extend our warmest congratulations to all recipients of last night’s Dean’s Awards—especially @eilish_king1, PhD student with TCAID and member of @OccTherapyTCD, awarded for Outstanding Contribution to Teaching in Professional Practice, and @LucianaLolich, Impact Officer to @TCD_SNM, recipient of the Professional & Support Staff Award for Innovations with Impact.
