@TheDazView That’s why true fans can appreciate it. What’s best is when see your country improve enough to not have to rely on the low block.

I don’t really like using terms like anti football with tactics like this especially if it’s a smaller nation…. What do people want them to do?? Go attacking and lose 6-0? The only way some nations stand any chance is with this type of tactics.

@HeidiBriones I think you misread it because one wants to be loved and the other couldn’t give a toss if he’s loved or not he just wants to play soccer and help his teammates win.

I’m not a Taylor Swift hater (beyond the obvious billionaires shouldn’t exist etc) but it is amazing how this wedding played into literally every single negative stereotype about her- like her biggest hater couldn’t have designed it better.

Seriously, Canada beet Bosnia and Qatar at home. Beat South Africa in round of 32. Lost to the only good squads they played against. Can we stop acting like they had an incredible run?

I get underdogs are cute but in Paraguay's case I hope they are eliminated as fast as possible Unlike teams like Cape Verde and DR Congo, Paraguay doesn't play a style that's fun to watch Every game they play is a slog and the longer they survive the more games they'll ruin

@NoodleHairCR7 To an extent, I agree with you, but they did play cleanly until France cheated with that dive to win the penalty shot. Once that happened , I can’t blame them for the shenanigans.

Canadian multiculturalism in action. Canada loses to Morocco and the street below erupts, not in disappointment, but in celebration. In what other country do some immigrants cheer against the country they now call home?

@MichaelShurkin I would also say our current government is proof positive that Canada needs a second amendment. This is a kind of government the second amendment, was created for.

To the Americans: I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States. And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness: You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence. This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns. Success is equated with exploitation. Ambition is looked upon with contempt. This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom. But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated. This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet. And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America: Thank God for the United States. Thank God for the wisdom of its founders. Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man. Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners. Long may your admirable country dominate the world. Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states. May your two and a half centuries of unparallelled success be just the beginning. Your country is the light of the world, and the city on the hill. Thank God for the USA. Happy 250th. Dr. Jordan B. Peterson

I don't think Australian understand. If we hadn't spent a single cent on Net Zero. And hadn't pursued mass migration from the third world. Just those two things. We'd be one of the richest nations, per capita, in the world. One of the safest nations. One of the most energy-rich nations. A nation where our own kids are first in every queue - housing, education, employment... Two mistakes from politicians cost us EVERYTHING.
