Today at Cabinet, Reform officially launched the Better Leicestershire programme, set to save taxpayers between £32-60 MILLION. 🇬🇧 Labour wanted higher taxes. The Tories claimed the savings didn’t exist. Well… they’re not laughing now. 😂 The savings have been identified. The programme is launched. And Reform UK has the guts to actually deliver it. Radical change has arrived at Leicestershire County Council. 🚀

Good to attend Whitwick Parish Council tonight and have some productive discussions with councillors, residents and of course Pesky Pete. 🇬🇧😉 I also presented THE ONE BIG WHITWICK ANNUAL REPORT and genuinely appreciate the overwhelming support and positive feedback it received from councillors across the chamber. Credit as well to the professionalism of the chair, clerk and most councillors throughout the meeting. Always good to see local democracy working properly and people coming together to discuss the future of Whitwick under Reform UK. 🚀

What’s happened in Worcestershire tells you everything you need to know about today’s Conservative Party. The public voted for Reform UK to be the largest party, yet instead of respecting the democratic result, the Tories stitched together backroom deals with the Greens to block it. Sound familiar? Because here in Leicestershire, the Conservatives have spent the last year trying absolutely everything to topple the Reform UK administration. Political games. Code of conduct complaints. Backroom manoeuvres. Constant bitterness and negativity. And every single attempt has failed. Why? Because unlike the Conservatives, the Liberal Democrats in Leicestershire have at least recognised one basic democratic reality: The people of Leicestershire elected Reform UK as the largest group and gave us the mandate to govern. Now don’t get me wrong, the Lib Dems disagree with us on plenty. They challenge us regularly. But to their credit, they actually have principles. They could easily have cut deals for positions and power, yet instead they’ve repeatedly accepted the democratic outcome delivered by voters. That is how democracy is supposed to work. The Leicestershire Conservatives meanwhile simply cannot accept that the public rejected them on a MASSIVE scale. They’ve become a bitter, angry and increasingly desperate political party that seems more interested in stopping Reform than listening to why people abandoned them in the first place. The message from voters was clear. And the Tories are going to have to get used to it, one way or another.

Reform UK’s North West Leicestershire team turned up at tonight’s NWLDC Annual Meeting. 🇬🇧 Elliott Allman, myself, Cllr Paul Harrison, Cllr Charles Pugsley and Cllr Michael Squires all there having a good look around… maybe even a quick measure up to see where we’ll all be sitting after next May. 😉 And one thing we did notice… Those empty flag poles above the front door of the council building won’t be staying empty for long. Two GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL Union Flags would look much better. 💪🏼🇬🇧
