@CHLThor Audio is tough to encode in a small space, so there's definitely not much hanging around on 5-1/4" floppies.

@retrofloppy The file formats the software produces are another fun one to manage. Luckily there are some good filters out there for conversion. As long as they don’t have audio embedded! What other WP software had that feature in the 1980’s?

Looking into another #fileformat with a .DOC extension. IBM DisplayWrite is a unique DOS format. During installation, I was given a choice of right or left handed mouse config, haven't seen that before. #digipres

Protip: if you don't align your labels correctly, you might not be able to read your HD disk because you've convinced your drive it's DD.

@MatthewBogart Yes. I know a guy. And it's going to cost a small fortune to ship, too. The sandcast heatsink of a case is not to be trifled with.

A batch of 8" disks came in that had been exposed to some extremes of heat. The outer jacket had been deformed so much the inner Mylar disc couldn't spin. Not a problem for RetroFloppy. A little surgery later, all disks were recovered!

We've had a wave of DEC RX01 and RX02 disks come in lately - if you've got Digital Equipment Corporation disks that need extraction, let us know!

Wordstar 2000. It's a deviation from Wordstar formats prior and since, and not well supported to import into anything else. Now we do!
