So happy to announce that I am now represented by Debbie Golvan of Golvan Arts Management. I've really found a good person to shepherd this novel.

We often think about the survey we did via Facebook a couple of years ago in which we asked women to answer a simple YES or NO to a question on whether they’d ever been sexually harassed, sexually assaulted or raped. From ~9,500 responses, guess how many women answered NO?

The biomass of ants on Earth is 20% the human biomass. This means that one in every six people on this planet is just a heap of ants in a trenchcoat. pnas.org/doi/abs/10.107…

@profesterman Does the NT have a demonstrably higher rate of hospitalisation compared to other states? Sure seems that way.

@profesterman What is the rate of hospitalisation in NT compared to other states? It feels higher - a national shame and tragedy.

Today I discovered that if you’re wearing sunglasses and a mask no one can see you cry in public. Further to this, why is it that you can have a bubble with a partner who lives anywhere within a state, but if you live in separate states it’s just like, Fuck you. #OverIt

@butwhoiskat Power to you Kat. I grew up feeling less Polish than the Poles and less Aussie than the Aussies. Own yourself.

This may be the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. The Duchess of York reading my book. With a complementary fruit platter that may look a bit like something other than palm trees. It’s all a bit surreal. She even got my name right. Pinch me now m.youtube.com/watch?v=vwnB2n…

@clockworkquill @sarahgcantin It was awful. Though the aftermath was funny in retrospect. The housemate who had the room closest to the lightning strike had seen *lightning balls* float in through her window, bounce around the room, then explode, and we met in the centre of the house, gibbering.

Who else grew up being told that you shouldn’t take a shower during a thunderstorm? (Because electricity from the lightning might…pass through the water? And shock you? Or something? IDK) I’m trying to work out whether this was a New England thing or if it’s an *actual* thing?
