@kekegamer1989 Ethernet is still heavily used and isn’t obsolete. Wifi introduces too much latency and jitter. Gaming over the internet is already plagued with latency and wifi only makes it worse

@retrolink10 seria interessante por conexão wireless (wi-fi) a conexão ethernet já está obsoleta em escritórios e residências já se utiliza muito esse tipo de conexão inclusive já tem pro cartucho de atari 2600

@UCOLECIONADOR1 In due time my friend! I have sent only a couple units to a few developers for testing to ensure all is working well and no large issues are found before making them more widely available.

@ForceBotNES See some of the examples and docs I have on GitHub, It will answer many questions. It definitely works without using internet, it just doesn’t connect from one adapter to the other via a single cable. Both devices would connect to the same router via their own ethernet cable.

@retrolink10 Hmmmm, something tells me that just sending the input from one console over to another console shouldn't be that hard to do via ethernet cable. It would be nice to have it work also without a internet connection.

@ForceBotNES No, but you can play via LAN/Internet using the IP address of the other console.

@retrolink10 Can you cross link two systems using the ethernet cable? Like how the original xbox did?

@ForceBotNES No wifi. Its a bit too erratic and prone to latency and interference from other near by wifi signals. The goal when creating this design was to keep the latency to an absolute minimum and the network connection as stable as possible to give a good baseline for multiplayer games.

@retrolink10 I like the idea of a hardline Ethernet. Will there also be Wifi chips too?

@UCOLECIONADOR1 Currently it’s still early in development and needs a bit more work. Also there needs to be a bit more supporting software before it would be worth your time reviewing. When there is more available I’d be happy to get one out to you. The software is really the key to this device.

First fully assembled #rlink ethernet cartridge prototypes for the #segagenesis #megadrive. Still working on case design fitment and look, but it's coming together! First pair of prototypes sent out to a developer to add support into a well known game! Stay tuned!

@alex13mod If it's a new homebrew Sega-CD Game with support programmed into the game to use the hardware, or a game hack to add support in for the hardware, then yes. Since it is accessible at the cartridge slot, it should be useable by any game running on the genesis/sega cd/32x

@aszaxa It's not Zero Tolerance, but this game could greatly benefit from being hacked to use the hardware. If someone wants to take this project on it would be pretty neat. I have examples showing how to use the hardware in game hacks on github!

@gustavoYaraujo Whats the fun in that? It'll be revealed soon enough i'm sure. I'd hate to say whats being done before the developer even has the cartridges in hand.

Sega Genesis 2nd revision boards are almost finished and should be back in the next few weeks! First prototype build of SNES/SFC Ethernet adapter is being produced now. Will hopefully have some test results in the next month. #rlink #segagenesis #snes #supernintendo #megadrive

Worlds first ethernet cartridge for the #megadrive #SegaGenesis Allows networking functions in homebrews and potentially existing games if support is hacked in.

@jordirafel Absolutely! The initial idea was to allow homebrew developers and rom hackers to add support into new and existing games. Check out our github for an example of hacking in network support with the game bloodshot and some example assembly and C code.

@retrolink10 Great! Does it open the posibility to play old games in real hardware with other players?
