@chriscmartell @mpolikoff Genuinely torn about this - it strikes to the heart of the “navigate vs. transform” dilemma to me! Curious if you’ve seen other models of ways to equitably provide students with the tools to navigate these (unfair!) financial systems from a more critical stance?

@mpolikoff Agree. And if there is anything that definitely should not be mandated, it's a personal finance course (it promotes individuals as the reason for economic inequality and we already have HS economics courses that, if done well, can better explain this content). Here's why...

@teachbk @socialstudiestx Fidelity: “The recipe says to salute the onions for 5 minutes so that’s what I’ll do.” Integrity: “It’s been five minutes but the onions aren’t translucent yet so I’ll keep them in a bit longer, also I’m going to add a few garlic cloves because our family likes food garlicky.”
