@LandisTanaka Oh excellent! Yeah I haven’t found anything that tops Parsec in latency, it’s impressive for sure but of course requires a stable internet connection 💙🙏

@reuko___ Pretty sold on it at this point. Will give it a test run going from Tokyo <—> US in a couple months. Talked to a couple people living in Europe full-time accessing their headless PC that’s sitting in a closet in the US.

Anyone using Teradici/Parsec for 3D workflows? Trying to figure out how to collaborate with remote Houdini artists over the Pacific.

@LandisTanaka 🥲 honestly I would just give parsec a spin! It’s free to try and the premium features won’t affect your latency, only some of the higher end color accuracy. Definitely a step above teamviewer for remote connection

@reuko___ Good thing 3D animation is never fast in the viewport anyway 😭

@LandisTanaka My home rig is in Norway but I have connected to it via UK from my phone’s 5G while on the road. It’s very usable for design but maybe less ideal for very tight animation timing work

@reuko___ Is your rig in the US? Wondering what sort of latency I can expect over an ocean. Won't be able to test this personally for a bit.

@DylserX Stunning!! Any noisy shimmering that one would usually see with these emissive sources?

Neon Forest, no lights used at all, entire scene is lit via emissive tubes scattered around with PCG with #UnrealEngine 5.6 (UE5-Main). Hardware Lumen (Full Hit Lighting Mode) Emissive only is getting better and better! #GameDev #Cinematic #Raytracing

@cathsimard_ Oh for sure, that’s why I save my work into a completely separate folder 🤣 Ain’t risking the main camera roll w anyone.

Anyone else doesn’t like to show their success/accomplishments? I always die a little bit inside when I meet new people and they asked for my IG or recognize me from NFTs. I also dislike sharing sales or anything that has a number attached to it. I don’t like being put in a pedestal. It’s overall a weird internal battle/feeling.

Looks like the softening caused when using MegaLights has been massively improved upon in the last week or so :)

@nicgirard_ Same issue here. Reducing the work area in the comp seemed to help so it doesn’t auto ram preview

I think this is only happening since updating to AE 2024 but i constantly need to purge memory now. Even at quarter res. i preview 5 frames and it stops. I dont think my settings are wrong.. help?

@DylserX Unrelated but I wonder when they will fix the missing MRQ output codecs on Mac for ProRes and DNxHR/HD. This used to work on UE4 😅
