@RevAdamHamilton Any idea why the Council of Bishops chose to release the results before all annual conferences voted?

The United Methodist Council of Bishops just announced the results of the voting of all of our annual conferences to approve changes to our denominational constitution. These changes or amendments were approved at General Conference in 2024, but needed to pass with two-thirds of all voting members of Annual Conference around the world as they met at last year's Annual Conferences. The vote is seen in the image below. I am really grateful for the outcome of these votes. The Amendments were to do the following: 1 Regionalization A set of amendments to create new regional conferences that will each have equal power to adapt portions of the BOD within their respective regions. 2. Inclusiveness of the Church An amendment to add the words “gender” and “ability” to Paragraph 4, Article 4 of The UMC Constitution to categories that cannot be used to exclude membership in The United Methodist Church. 3. Racial Justice An amendment to strengthen Article V of The UMC Constitution by explicitly recognizing the church’s role in combating racism, racial inequity, colonialism, white privilege, and white supremacy. 4. Educational Requirements for Clergy General Conference voted to amend Section VI, Article IV of The United Methodist Church Constitution, which establishes the educational requirements for clergy members of annual or provisional conferences who are eligible to vote for clergy delegates to the General Conference.

@JeffHoogland @RandAlT21 @PokemonTCGP Also if you don’t pull Arceus EX then the synergy cards fall flat. I’ve only pulled 1 and haven’t felt like trying 1 EX and 1 baby Arceus builds.

@RandAlT21 @PokemonTCGP Arecus being insane power creep and not having any other useful EXes releasing alongside it certainly hasn't helped.

The @PokemonTCGP twitch stats have had a pretty brutal slide over the last month. Will be interested to see if ranked has any positive impact here soon or if folks are bounced and just gone.

@RIBAYR0 @JeffHoogland Marowak EX can do 160 by itself turn 2, but it’s not a top performing competitive deck either.

@JeffHoogland Not really. C'mon, how many decks can do 300 dmg by turn 3 and for only 3 energy? 😅 This isn't a case of you only win if your hand is good. It helps getting there faster, but you can just ko something out of nowhere with small energy investment. Celebi by itself can do 100 t2.

In my two decades playing competitive card games I'm not sure I've ever seen an archetype as hyped as Celebi was crash as hard as it has in tournaments this weekend. Some really juicy data to cover in tomorrow's meta review video.

@CrunchTime4L @bootmanmstz That’s not always good if you’re targeting a certain variant split and have several other variants, because then you have to grind 10 boosters between upgrades to keep the grays from showing up. Better to wait on your grays until you get the final finish you want.

@bootmanmstz You should ALWAYS upgrade the 25 ones. You get 1 point for 25 credits. After that it’s 100 credits for only 2 points. So always upgrade to frame break

There’s a way to game this system that I don’t understand Can someone explain this to me like I’m a moron? How do I get cards I want in there? It’s always the same ones

@bootmanmstz If you get 5 boosters it’ll remove all the gray border variants from the pool. So you still have to grind a few boosters, but not as many.

Alright so this is pretty annoying I guess you need to spend all your boosters to get cards put in here I want to level green goblin but now it’s giving me EVERY variant to upgrade first rather than just one sequentially up to a split

@bootmanmstz Has SD made the split rate change or did you roll the dice anyway?

@JeffHoogland What kind of device does he play on? I think one of my kids would love the game, but we’re not getting them a phone yet.

I was already pretty convinced @PokemonTCGP is going to be a hit, but seeing the look on my oldest face as he rushed into my office to show me the Moltres EX he opened hammered it home even more.

Thanks to Hooglandia's strongest warriors we did enough chores to get a pixel variant this week.

@interrobange SSM keeps copying a 2-power card in the same lane as Shuri instead of her. Can you not activate him the same turn you play Shuri?

Infinity ticket no. 1 💪 reinvented shuri sauron to take full advantage of symbiote spider-man 🙌 psylocke/zabu to get ssm out first and activate shuri for double buffs 🫨 magik to zola your taskmaster or alternate panther/zola line as a backup 👀

@bootmanmstz My bots keep retreating turn 1. Did SD change them after the Conquerors event?

And yeah, there’s potential to start flying through this. Less than an hour and I’m at 100M 2 bots and 1 pumper with a few regular wins I needs my pandart variant!

@seconddinner Thanks for the explanation and the change in today's OTA! Removing the Ongoing feels nice and elegant.

@revjbryant Mystique's text says "If the last card you played has an Ongoing, copy its text. (if it’s in play)" Since Blob has "Ongoing" in its text, Mystique copies its entire text.

@seconddinner needs to fix Blob's keyword functionality. Had an Arishem opponent copy it with an Absorbing Man and Mystique in the same turn, which breaks the logic of how these cards normally work. You shouldn't get both the On Reveal and Ongoing from 1 copy effect #MARVELSNAP

@JeffHoogland I thought I’d one a game recently with a strong Athena lane, Darkhawk & Mystique only for them to Abs Man & Mystique their Blob. Having both of those cards perfectly copy Blob feels wrong, especially since Abs can’t copy Rogue.

I remain eternally baffled by how people are having a hard time keeping up with the popular Arishem decks. The power output range of their average draw is so much less than any reasonable linear deck. You easily can easily out maneuver then with good SNAPs.

@bootmanmstz I hate to say it, but it's probably putting a Blob or Darkhawk there. Gwenpool would make your other numbers go brr, but without space for Mysterio clones I'm not sure you win the other 2 lanes.

What’s the best deck for the hot location?

@bootmanmstz Yup. Even after doing an asset redownload mine is still slow. I can’t always tell on mobile if redownloading has actually finished.

Anyone else's Marvel Snap app running like garbage since the patch? I can barely scroll through my collection. I'm about to do the asset download, but I just did that like yesterday for a different issue (that didn't resolve). It's so strange what's been going on

@JeffHoogland I really struggled with Doc Ock timing and positioning, especially in games when I didn’t have Magic early.

This deck has awful stats on untapped, but I'm up like 100 snap points just playing it for missions so far off stream. Maybe my Sersi is luckier than most 🤔🤔🤔

@JeffHoogland I hope one day people will realize that Second Dinner are reasonable people who are not out to screw over the player base. Or that this outrage machine will stop keep churning out bad takes.

Saw people freaking out over the Deadpool Diner event thinking the variants shown as the top prize was the only way to get the card. This confirms that the base card will be much cheaper and easier to get from the event.
