@margelo_com I was working with react native 7 years ago, fast forward to today keyboard handling is still difficult 😣 react-native-keyboard-controller is helping a lot 👏

It's time to spill some secret sauce: How to actually build a good Keyboard experience for your #reactnative apps 👀

SDK 56 is stable. Time to upgrade.
Last release was the first time we recommended the official Upgrade Skill and the results were staggering. So we're recommending it again.
We know a lot of you have complex apps that require a more hands on approach so we put together a full upgrade guide ↓

@dshukertjr @supabase I was looking to create a more direct “control panel style” in the dashboard to avoid digging into the various submenus for triggering cron manually, edge function, export data and so on.
English

@revlorehack @supabase You can call Postgres Functions from the SQL editor and call edge Functions from the edge Functions testing feature, but what use case are you looking to solve with this?

Expo SDK 56 is out 🙌
◆ Expo UI is stable on iOS and Android
◆ iOS builds 16% faster, plus another 20% on EAS from precompiled community libs
◆ Android cold starts 40% faster
◆ Expo Router decoupled from React Navigation
◆ Inline native modules: write Swift and Kotlin right next to your TypeScript
◆ Hermes v1 by default
◆ Bytecode diffing on by default (~58% smaller OTA updates)
◆ iOS Widgets stable
◆ React Native 0.85 + React 19.2
It's been two months since SDK 55, and we packed in everything we could fit. Your iOS build times are going to thank you. Full changelog ↓

@neural_avb I'm considering a 3rd account 😂 still less than 100$/months right?
English

Yeah, that's so cool. But if you do not offer the same interest rate of 3% on bank account for current customes as new, lot of us close our positions in your neobanc and leave out!!

@tomaspozo @supabase Great reminder! I need to upgrade my fn to use withSupabase!

@aidenybai On my expo project, I got some bugs, array.toSorted didn’t exist, one animation shouldn’t have restarted over a mutation and others. Pretty impressive tho! I’ll try later again. Maybe react-doctor should check the env (node/expo version?) more carefully. Congrats anyway 👏
English

@traderepublic do you have a calendar-like list of the upcoming dividends within the app? Can’t find it and would be great to see everything at once

@dshukertjr doino.app a new social app for in real life events! Currently in open beta! Stack Expo + Supabase

@johnennis @amazon Happened to me, they stoped replying to my emails. Then after 1 week and several phone calls, emails, police reports, I managed to speak with someone that low key said they will send a replacement.. where I live it feels like if they lost something it’s customer’s fault.
English

Oh my God, NEVER buy an Apple product from @amazon
I bought a Mac Book Pro that arrived today, and the computer inside had been swapped out along the way - it's a different model, different serial numbers, is used, and so on
Yet I have been on the phone with Amazon for 2 hours getting a constant run around as various people claim they can't help me because the computer (that I don't have!) has an active Apple ID so they can't accept the refund
I have filed a police report already for the fraud, but it seems impossible to get any help
English

@tomaspozo @supabase I do the same, but it took me some iterations and time, I wish it was documented better that this is actually the only way to properly secure an api for my client
English

Using RPCs (database functions) has become my default way of interacting with @supabase db.
Here are some benefits I get:
✅ Transactions: Everything runs inside the database. If something fails, it rolls back automatically. No need to handle partial failures on the client.
📱 Shared logic across clients: if I'm building a web app and a mobile app for the same product. Both call the same RPC. The business logic lives in one place, the database. No duplication, no drift.
🔒 Security: You can hide your tables entirely and only expose your RPCs to the client. You can configure this easily from the Supabase dashboard (see more on the video).
