Can @expo take advantage of this for Expo Updates? A big issue right now with OTA updates is the impact on app start performance (or you go the async/background way and have to wait for another app start). If we can reduce OTA download times by 10x it wouldn't be an issue anymore.

Most people don't know that Hermes can generate a bytecode bundle that is more suitable for binary diffing (for OTA) based on a previous bundle.

@expo D’oh! Never thought of OTA updates while in development. That is a great idea. Cant build locally as I use windows. Should just break down and buy another Mac.

I really like using @expo eas but man $2 a build adds up quick with multiple projects and dev builds. Getting close to where it may make sense to buy a Mac mini for builds.

@thymikee we found interesting pattern on iOS when solving visual state changing problem agent recorded video and generated huge frame by frame picture to observe visual state changing in dynamics 🤯

New in agent-device: image diffs are now visual + machine-readable. Agents can tell: → where the change happened → text movement vs visual change → which part of the screen changed From “close enough” to “Wi-Fi moved 17px”. This cuts design→code iterations by 40–60%.
