@SD_Comic_Con I think they should keep the no refund policy on deposits. Without it people with early access to the site will take up more rooms knowing they can cancel later on. Fewer people will be able to get a room on day 1 of the sale. Sellouts will occur faster after the start.

@SDCCGuide Intercontinental across from the Santa Fe Trolley station. It sold out shortly after the 50 minute mark. Hotels moving up north by the trolley tracks in little Italy started selling out the next 10-15 minutes also.

I have to say, I like this process better than waiting for your #SDCC hotel acceptance letter. It's more efficient and I don't think your odds are any worse. But yes, I did see rooms vanish mid-process - not fun but just had to move on.

@TDU_Chargers QJ had some solid games even against better CBs last year such as Den, Hou. Looking at the NE all-22 review that Kurt Warner, Theo Ash, JT O'Sullivan, etc did, it was Justin that wasn't able to get the ball to open WRs more often that game.

Thunder Down Under Chargers Podcast
With QJ, a good way to think about it perhaps is by asking ‘Is he reliable at getting open and when you target him do good things generally happen?’ It’s probably best to look at some combination of separation score (through Matt Harmon’s work) + drops + completion percentage (do defenders too easily get into his frame and force incompletions) + contested catch %. QJ has definitely improved but still think the perception is correct that there are areas where he hasn’t yet shown himself to be completely reliably and this includes when he faces the best competition. He’s also a confidence player who has games where he goes totally missing. And then there are games when he’s ‘feeling it’ where he consistently gets open and can beat the very best. A mixed bag all things considered but he’s improved each year and has a real chance to have his best year playing for Mike McDaniel (hopefully more schemed up YAC opportunities)
Tino ⚡️@TinoFromTheQ

There’s a perception that QJ still struggles with drops. 2025 Drops: KLS - 0.0% (0/12 targets) Tre Harris - 2.3% (1/43 targets) Quentin Johnston - 2.4% (2/84 targets) Keenan Allen - 4.9% (6/122 targets) Ladd McConkey - 5.7% (6/106 targets)

I like Zion Johnson more than basically all of Chargers Twitter (was firmly a good player last year in horrible circumstances) but there’s no way I can justify paying him $20 million+ per year. If that’s truly his market, then the Chargers should let him walk and hope the compensatory pick formula works in their favor and they can get a 4th rounder for him in 2027.

@connorr125 @Disky_Fringo_ @SunnySideUp211 He put up 700 yds + 8tds a yr with uncreative Greg roman as the play caller and being misused as a X. He'll be better catching the ball in space with room to run.

@Disky_Fringo_ @rexigarashi @SunnySideUp211 myers can catch the ball and get open, two things qj cannot. Maybe he will have a career year, but i dont see it mcdaniels scheme relies on speed. qj is decently fast but i dont think he will see a huge role

QJ is kinda in that Austin Ekeler comparison where AE scored a lot of TD's but never was close to a RB1. QJ has never gotten even close to 1K yards. Any WR making at least $15M-18M AAV better be clear cut WR1. I think with Ladd, Trey, KLS and OG3 I'm not sure he'll get the touches even with a MM offense. We got him this year and I hope he balls out for sure then see what happens🤷‍♂️

@SethB406 @mikerenner_ at the same event where jackson had the 32 1/2 inch arm measurement, he had a 6' 11" wingspan measurement. so could be a mistake or he just has a very wide frame and shorter arms.

To re-up this, it's not so much Campbell's arm length. He actually has longer arms (32 5/8") than Rams LT Alaric Jackson (32 1/2") who was fine vs Seattle in the NFCCG But it's his frame that's tiny by OT standards. Over an inch shorter than any successful OT in the past decade
Mike Renner@mikerenner_

An interesting measurables quirk: UNC OL Willie Lampkin (who's 5-10) has a bigger wingspan (78 1/8") than 6-5 Grey Zabel (77 1/2") and 6-6 Will Campbell (77 3/8")

@tylerjschoon McDaniel had signed an extension with Miami thru 2028. They should still be obligated to pay him that salary.

Harbaugh refused to fire Orr, it wasn't about Monken. Harbaugh threw Monken under the bus all year, this adds up. Harbaugh refused to replace Orr after 2024, and prob wanted to keep him in 26. The Monken reports are BS. It was about Orr. Don't fall for Harbaugh PR. #ravensflock

I wish this was true, but let’s look at the math. Hunter Greene: 26 years old. $53M contract. Jake Cronenworth: 32 years old. $80M contract. The Reds are not trading a cost-controlled Ace to take on MORE money for an older 2B.That is not how small-market teams operate. Pure Bait.
THE Maxon Report@OH_SportsTalk

An inside source is saying trade talks between, Reds and Padres are going on, Jake Cronenworth for Hunter Greene is a real possibility The reds continue to look for fielding offense Cronenworth 59 rbi/ 246 average He ranked 10th as a 2nd base man last season #ATOBTTR

Interesting scenario based on my understanding of the financial situation (I don’t know if they are actively in on Okamoto). Would you sign Okamoto to, let’s say, 3/39 if you knew for a fact it meant Cronenworth would be traded (let’s say it’s for like, a meh 2 yrs control SP)?
