@AFLTraining Valid point but thats no more than 5 players per draft out of 70+. Just thinking of the NFL where they have high school > college > pro. Often 21 year olds enter the league as ready made stars. I reckon AFL could find a happy medium somewhere.

Fair point but imagine Nick Daicos not playing senior AFL football in his 1st 2 years - you'll stifle the top end development doing that

@JasonBennettTV I’ve always thought the draft age is too low - wonder what increasing it 20 would do. Allow for young bodies to mature and increase the amount of young talent in the VFL ect. Also gives young fellas a couple years in the real world before their careers begin. Thoughts

In Vic, merge Talent League & VFL - return to old Colts, Ressies & Seniors. Kids enter Colts at 15/16 & if good enough, play Seniors whenever ready. Can't be drafted til same age as now.
If not drafted, stay in this comp with your team & keep developing... cont.

Collingwood refused to travel for Opening Round after playing in the first two years on the road against GWS.
