@crosberg @illusClaire @zacksoto Prior to 2012 it was non-exclusive first publishing rights in the English language. After 2012 a clause of digital rights was added, with authors getting royalties. Nowadays there's WFH contracts and diferent deals with authors, most of them involving HM owning part of the IP.

@CrazyGrandpaINC @crosberg Let me correct the last part... "About works being published without companies asking them if they want to renew their contract and get royalties". The CBLDF getting $$$ from our work is good, HM getting $$$ from our work without even asking the authors is a no from me.

@rgllarena @crosberg And I would be on board... If it was available eslewhere. Thought legally in the wrong they are morally in the right. This isn't simple and caliaming to be is nothing more than an attempted handwave away from the actual issue.

@ThePeterKelly @crosberg @rgllarena If you want to tell a story noone will hear why tell it at all? I think being owed is the wrong word. More like historical preservation at gun point. To any artist, you can take our money or not, but we will get it either way so take the smart route.
