Resend is a wrapper on top of Amazon SES. SPF records point to amazonses.com and email headers confirm it. They add a nicer dev-friendly API, React email components, templates, webhooks, and analytics. SES: $0.10 per 1k emails. Resend Pro: $20/mo for 50k emails (~$0.40 per 1k). ~4x the cost for convenience, not literally "just" SES but close. Markup is more like 300%.
