@Viv_Krishnan Sir, it would be great if you can give one without the need for a license (like an airgun). Most of us need it for basic self defence. Licensing complicates stuff

a hypermedia-for-agents, by adopting the hypermedia-control-in-context paradigm, will significantly narrow the context window necessary for agentic integrations to form value-added dynamic inter-sytem bridges (idk what that means, am i doing this right?)

Them: dejected, staring blankly at another Reddit thread on how LLMs are going to replace all developers in six months Us: writing as much good code as we can in the time we have been allotted with a grin on our face and a song in our heart we’re all gonna make it, friends

A reasonable metric to watch is what % of an urban worker's salary goes to housing (rental or EMI). A high ratio here will lead to the death spiral of low savings for individuals and low competitiveness for businesses (we have to keep paying more just to cover rents. To cover costs, businesses will increase prices). In Indian big cities, this number is above 30%. A high number. Tier 2 and 3 % are much lower even when they're paid less. Makes a world of difference to their lives

Given India's demographic reality (~23 million babies a year and majority born in rural areas that are outside the "network effect" clusters) Bengaluru won't stop at 20 million. And then there is this fact. Per capita urban infrastructure spending itself goes up with population - so urban infrastructure costs go up as the *square* of the population. Similar effect when you scale silicon chips. Any-to-any connectivity dominates the chip and the city. And as real estate shoots past the moon and heads to Mars, acquiring land to build infrastructure becomes insanely expensive. Tokyo saw all this. The Japanese government kept investing in urban infrastructure and Tokyo has the world's best at their scale (34 million people!) and not coincidentally the Japanese government is nearing bankruptcy now. And not to mention the Japanese demographic implosion.

Karnataka has serious issues w.r.t. human capital. No doubt. There's rural distress and unemployment and attendant issues BUT migration to Bangalore is not the problem. Bangalore is a big city. But not uber-big. It has room to grow in all directions. No geographic barriers. It can easily get to 20M+ and yet be a fine city to live in Lets not conflate issues and confuse matters. Bangalore's infrastructure problem is not a migrant-caused crisis. Not a political problem to be handled.. It is a technical problem that can be addressed by technocrats
Sridhar Vembu@svembu

Bengaluru aspires to join the first world but we have the harsh reality of a vast population in poverty whose vote depends on cash transfer schemes, even as rural joblessness leads to unchecked migration to Bengaluru. This is not a rant against politicians. My rural life has exposed me to the complexity of India and how our politics reflects it. If I were in politics (and I am glad I am not and I get to work on AI and compilers) I cannot think of a way to win without offering cash transfer. We cannot build great cities when we have a vast rural population desperate to migrate to overcrowded cities with broken and heavily overloaded infrastructure. The quality of life in Bengaluru depends crucially on how many people we succeed in not sending to Bengaluru from rural India.

BREAKING 🚨: 2 PAF pilots from Swat district of Khyber region who were discharged last year have built their own fighter jet based on the F14 Tomcat. They're all over Indian forward positions. Turns out they're also part of the furry subculture and like to dress up as cats. They're calling themselves Swat Cats. ALERT!
