The boys have been fully engaged in anti bullying week. They’ve been writing positive postcards to one another and discussing how to prevent bullying across the school 👏#partofRHS @RHSSuffolk @RHSWellbeing

What a day! The boys did exceptionally well at divisions in the morning, before Josh won the best boy athlete and the whole team won the Intermediate Boys Trophy at Sports Day! Fantastic support from everyone and a well deserved BBQ in the evening 🏃‍♂️🏆

All the boys returned back last night, ready for the term ahead. Our family time this evening involved a surprisingly competitive game of rounders! Well done to the whole house who got involved.

Then our @AngliaTours guides took us to the powerful Vimy Ridge memorial - an awe-inspiring experience. Lots of thoughtful comparisons made from our students between Vimy and Thiepval Memorials and which meant more to them. @RHSSuffolk

Day 3: Year 10 started their morning walking through preserved WW1 trenches at Vimy Ridge and learning about just how close the Canadian and German trenches would have been to each other. @RHSSuffolk

In the evening at our hotel it was time for a great meal and an evening of relaxation with friends! It was great to see Year 10 enjoying themselves after a long day of history. @RHSSuffolk #rhsmademe

In the afternoon of day 2, Year 10 walked the lines of the trenches at Newfoundland Park and heard stories of the sacrifices of Canadian troops who fought at the Somme. @RHSSuffolk

Standing in Hawthorn Crater, the site of a huge mine detonation on the first day of the Somme, was incredible. @RHSSuffolk

Day 2 of Battlefields and our @AngliaTours guides introduced Year 10 to the moving sites at the Somme, really getting them thinking. Fantastic connections to what we’ve been learning in the classroom brings it all to life. @RHSSuffolk
