Cycle Campaign argue for bus gates enforced 24 hrs with no exemptions for taxis or blue badge holders. Well of course they do, keen to cycle with increased number of buses diverted onto this route but everywhere else need bus stop bypasses to avoid buses⁉️

Better buses campaigners with mobility aids, prams & shoppers, took our demands to @TracyBrabin yesterday. As there were 2 ♿️users amongst us we had to take 2 separate buses from the bus station which rather underlines the point. Thanks to @itvcalendar for great coverage ✊

@InclusiveBuild I went to the launch event where there were several civil servants from the DfT. I asked them why the Zebra funding conditions gave operators a choice of 1 or 2 wheelchair spaces. They honestly had zero idea of why it would matter. No clue. Even less interest. 🥺

A planning application has gone in to turn Monkgate Bar #York into retail space. Exemplifies the weaknesses of both the Equality Act and the planning system at ensuring accessibility and inclusive spaces. A shop here can hardly be regarded as ‘open to the public’ #ClosedToMany

@riandy49 @megaharp Thank you. I am coming under increasing assault at a local level from other disabled people who say we mustn’t criticise Labour for fear of getting something worse. I’ll call out any issue that harms disabled people - doesn’t matter who is proposing it.

So much for accessible bus stops for blind & visually impaired people❗️The big yellow buttons to press for audible timetables of buses due are replaced by QR codes that DON’T WORK‼️Got error messages from 4 last week. More digital exclusion. Shameful decision 😡
