@NigelOwen77 @harry_goodwin02 It may not to you. But Derby have had 24 home matches this season, and I think only 7 of them have kicked off at 3pm on a Saturday. Less than a third. For me that is deeply unsatisfactory. It may be the modern way, but I am free to express my disapproval.

How brilliant is it that Derby have not only been at home for the last game of the season 3 years in a row, but had something to play for every year too. Sell out every year. The city absolutely buzzing before kickoff and all night after. We’ve come a long way 🥹🐏 #dcfcfans

@AJBdcfc123 @harry_goodwin02 No reason why it can’t. League One and Two are this year, with every game televised. I am sick of 12:30 kick-offs.

@Rams_Chat We have a fitness coach?!? If so we need to sack them, they have done a terrible job this season.

Disagree, gave him a fair crack and were patient with him. That said, I think things did change very quickly and he wouldn't have been happy with appointments to his team, such as fitness coach

@Origamo3 @aljhlester But the UK Government didn’t ignore Mandelson’s friendship with Epstein. They considered it an asset, something that would help endear him to Trump and his MAGA acolytes, ideally to this country’s benefit. Yes, it would have been better to keep Pierce. But I get why they didn’t.

@riccimarsh @aljhlester Distasteful? Is that all? You seem to suggest that the UK Gov was correct to ignore Mandelson's friendship with a man who did horrific things to little girls,to ingratiate itself with Trump? When Karen Pierce already had a good working relationship with the Trump administration?

1/3 The constant intrigue over Starmer-Mandelson is exhausting. We all know what happened & why. Starmer wanted Mandelson in the US because he was widely thought to be someone who could humour Trump & prevent him harming UK interests. Very few protested at the time.

@Origamo3 @aljhlester Who better to appoint to work with Donald Trump than a paedophile-adjacent man with absolutely no sense of decency?? It was undoubtedly a distasteful approach, but imo understandable. It didn’t work out, but it’s hardly a resigning matter for the PM.

@aljhlester I think you're missing the fact that everyone knew before Mandelson's appointment that he had stayed with Epstein, a convicted paedophile. Surely no one with any sense of decency would do that. And employing a man like that in any capacity in government was a disgrace.

@bwfc_elliot Ipswich, Derby, Bolton, Sheff Wed v Morecambe, Forest Green, Accrington, Fleetwood, all happened in the last 5 years at least.

@aljhlester Exactly. Trump is a dodgy, slimy, corrupt, paedophile-adjacent sleazebag, and Starmer thought appointing someone with similar qualities was the best way to curry favour with him. It was a gamble and it didn’t work, but that’s all. I just wish Starmer would come out and say that.

@BenInRushcliffe Trump is a dodgy, slimy, corrupt, pedophile-adjacent sleazebag. And so is Mandelson. That’s the reason he was tapped for the job. Starmer should come out and say so. But of course, Trump would just launch an all out revenge attack, so he can’t.

Why is this even news? It's clear to everyone that Mandleson was picked ahead of George Osborne because he had a good relationship with Trump and would be able to help protect British interests. It's not a shock that CS felt some pressure. That's the job!
Beth Rigby@BethRigby

ANALYSIS: In over 2 hrs of evidence, Olly Robbins made very clear to MPs that the atmosphere around Mandelson's appointment was to get it done, with a team at heart of govt very much not interested in vetting THEN as they seem to be NOW. Bombshell session puts PM under more fire

@henrywinter One thing that really benefitted my team Derby was that when we moved to Pride Park, we had some brilliant performances early on… the first six matches included a 4-0 win v Southampton, a 3-0 thrashing of Arsenal, and a great 2-2 draw against Man Utd. After those, it was home.

Interesting meeting of Everton supporters and their Fan Advisory Board last night. One point of discussion was how do you make a new stadium a home? Statement performances and results, atmosphere. Also making it obviously your home with signage, murals, statues... #EFC 1/2

The Premier League archives are so class. You can just search for a team or a player and you’ll end up seeing a goal so ‘just go direct’ that if a team tried it now the manager would be arrested
