She counters at $7,000. He says “I want to buy it from you… how about $6,500? That’s the max I can do.” She thinks for a second and asks “and a pair of earrings?” She picks out some 14k gold ones (he says they’re worth about $120 in gold) and calmly offers “How about $6,400 and the earrings?”… and he agrees right there. I think she actually got herself a pretty solid deal thanks to those earrings. Do you think she got a fair price, or did the shopkeeper still come out on top?
