REPPED: Say, at a BIG. Once that happens, changes everything bc you get it just got REAL. Money needs to be made asap or you get dropped. No longer is it about the tiny dopamine hits of contest placements, laurels, whatever else… That stuff becomes irrelevant, mostly. People have bills to pay, fuck your dreams. Dance monkey! 😂 This pressure can fuck with your head/creativity. Some panic at this stage, I did. You gotta acclimate quickly to ‘bottom line’ mentality from your team. But it could be worse. You could have a day job you hate. One guy’s brutal opinion. All I’m saying is be ready for that stark transition. No way around it. You may just have a blast… win or lose. I did. And still am. @johnzaozirny My LinkedIn network consists of more than 1600 industry and creative pros and I've made a number of great contacts on there. More than here FWIW.

It's sort of fascinating how popular/useful LinkedIn is in so many other industries and yet it's never one I've seen used on the creative side of the film & TV industry. Just not a site that, in my experience, gets frequented by pros.
