I vote to retain the status quo at Stoke. I have gripes with recruitment and tactics, but I think injuries have been the biggest factor. Albeit linked to recruitment. But does anyone think our overseas policy is Walters'? Or one from above that would remain even with a change?

@PulisvsBojan @Homzy I think there has to be some sort of hybrid element to it because every manager needs a core base of players who buy into their fundamentals and values and then the recruitment team add to that. As it is currently we are just getting it wrong!

@ricohjam @Homzy Yeah, I definitely think something had to change somewhere but I think the structure we’re putting in place isn’t the wrong one from what I can see - it just has some of the wrong people in it.

@ricohjam @Homzy The risk with doing that though Jamo is of and when Robins moves on, we’re stuck with players who can only play his way and have to start again - that was a factor in the Rowett/Jones/MON/Neil quagmire.

Robins is without doubt making some serious fuck ups but if we are honest past Vik, Sorba, Lawal, Junior and probably Manhoef how many others are we that arsed about? This after our much vaunted secret/groundbreaking scouting system they spoke about at the back end of last term.

@Bunnyduckmag Bocat is one of a string of signings who just aren’t up to it and that’s even after he’s been better of late. Hes not alone we keep signing physically and mentally weak players who can’t run either. Not a good recipe for success.

Bocat simply can't allow the striker a touch six yards out. The bloke simply goes to sleep and cannot defend.

@Dave50525946 @PilHares He’s the worst keeper I’ve seen over a prolonged period. We know Marshall was bad but his errors were mainly in a few really awful games whereas this kid is every week. That’s not picking on him, he’s just a poor keeper who can’t do the basics sadly or know where his posts are.

Robins totally fucked up last night, moving Sorba to RB. No arguments about that, but as long as we are recruiting players like Smit and Rak Sakyi, nothing is going to change. Finishing clear of relegation trouble is probably as good as it's going to get.

@NeilJamesWriter I think we just say “fuck it” and play a rush keeper. Can’t be any worse. The question we have to ask is why have we allowed Fielding to be in our squad for so long if we have no intention of playing him? Just another creaming a living out of us. But he’s good for morale! 🫣😂

@Dave50525946 @caribbeanpotter It did move but personally I’d expect a keeper to save it. As it was Gally made sure the last 10 minutes didn’t cause us too much stress so it didn’t matter this time.

We found a way to win & played okay both halves. 2 rarities: a Milly right footer & a Gally goal. Rigo MoM for me, starting to look the part. Defensively still dodgy, but nothing the return of Lawal, Wilmot & Vik (& a new LB) shouldn't fix. Much better than many recent games.

@Dave50525946 @Bonner_DJ Totally agree. Folk after the game saying “what changed in our approach?” Well the keeper chucking two into the net wasn’t exactly in the half time team talk was it? It was like kids football after the first went in as they started shooting from all angles.

Another 2nd half horror show from a Stoke side. We just never come out, throw in a keeper who clearly isn’t at the level required. There is a real bottle job mentality around us, we never look to kill a side off, we’re just meh.. Robins looks broken with each passing game.

@Bunnyduckmag @MrTommyWilliams Orient fan’s reaction to him being called back said it all. As you say he’s not inexperienced at all for his age, sadly he’s just not up to it. Big balls from Smit by the way given the circumstances and his start at Stoke. Huge credit to him, showed real character.

Got to feel sorry for Simkin as well. Yes he's made a few mistakes but he's been thrown in at the deep end when he still clearly needs a couple of loan moves to keep developing.
