@UlrichJvV Just don’t go anywhere alone and don’t be a woman and don’t be caught being a white person! South Africa is the most dangerous country in the world

@KoroTeeps @ChalynRugby He is a tight head, but my reference gto him is for 1. scrummaging ability 2. work rate 3,. Even today tightheads cant just be bookends - the games evolving - thats why the Boks are champs
English

@ricrubel @ChalynRugby When his scrummaging develops he could be. But hes not a tighthead

There’s always one guy that stands out to me. It was when I started playing for the Sharks; I played loosehead and went to a semi-final against the Crusaders. Owen Franks. He dished me up that day, properly,”
“I remember a specific moment in that day where I told Bismarck (du Plessis) and Jannie (du Plessis) next to me, ‘I feel like I can go for this guy. I’m going to go for him.’ And I couldn’t move him.
“I gave everything, and I was big, I was strong, I was in this front row that was just unreal and a pack that was filled with Springboks. I was supposed to be able to do it, but I couldn’t move him.
“Between him and the other guy who really dished me up, Jacques van Rooyen, I’ve got so much appreciation for it. Looking in hindsight, I love the fact that I got dished up so that I could learn out of it and become the best player that I can be today.”

@KoroTeeps @ChalynRugby No disagreement with 'in his era' so...yes, but no way today. The game has sped up.
English

@ricrubel @ChalynRugby In his era.....Franks was a great.
A lot of tightheads now only play 40 minutes. They wouldnt have been able to match Franks for workrate and scrummaging over 60-70.

@KoroTeeps @ChalynRugby The game has well and truely moved on. The ABs were caught out years ago with just scrummaging props. Props do have to be brutal scrummagers, but they have to take the ball up, shift bodies, get up quickly, even make turn overs. Franks was great, but hes not the model for today
English

@rugby_podcast Impressive, hopefully the Tahs can get some go forward for these guys in the backline to work off

@scrumming_ten Ouch, must be hard knowing your country is falling apart and all youve got left is rugby - until that also immigrates to Oz, NZ & the Uk - will the boks be the moana pacific of international rugby playing out of Ireland in the next decade? x.com/Jason2bartlett…

You won’t believe this!!! Traveling in America is awesome, you don’t have to worry about being robbed, murdered, raped or even hi-jacked like in South Africa!

@Oom_Rugby The endless saffa rage bait accounts are all having a bad day today
English

A early announcement like this is probably calculated to muddy the waters of Tony’s involvement with Boks
not often you see a team announce a coach 18 months from when he will actually start 🧐
especially when there is a current guy in the job who must now carry on with a smile on his face.
and who knows what will be going on anyway by the time 2028 come around
stranger still , attack is not really a area of need for NZ. they will rather need a proper D coach.
odd one this
All Blacks@AllBlacks
Tony Brown joins in 2028 as All Blacks Assistant Coach. See you soon 🤝🏽

@scrumming_ten Better headline - "Attention seeking rage bait saffa accounts across the globe in meltdown as theres no ref to blame" 😂
