Fact of the Day: The F15 Eagle was designed to operate over land, on the 31st Feb 1926 Boeing released the F15 Sea Eagle that could operate over water. Do you know what the added features were? 📸 from a Canberra

This years #biketour. Calais to Bergues just East of Dunkirk, Ypres, Bruges, Ghent, Tournai back to Ypres via Lille and home via Dunkirk. 270miles of easy riding, averaging 38miles a day. Stopping at the many sites, of course war graves and may be a beer or two.

Recently visited Prague and took time to pop and pay respect to those buried at the @CWGC cemetery there. Looked amazing in the snow. I was surprised to to the black filling in the names and badges. Also looked good in the snow.

NOVEMBER 2024 INSP CANDIDATES If everyone who say's 'I've failed' actually failed, the INSP pass rate would be around 0.1% Unless you can list the 60 or more MCQs you categorically know you answered incorrectly, you cannot say 'I've failed'. You did your best - let's see.

NOVEMBER 2024 INSP CANDIDATES Candidates frequently walk away from their exam feeling shit. That's natural (we focus on the negative). Of course there were MCQs you didn't know the answer to! Of course subjects came up that you didn't revise! YOU DON'T NEED 100%. BE POSITIVE!

@DS_Tom_Hamm I did get a Crystal glass from the Fed though and a letter from the Chief inviting me to a ceremony. Unlucky with Covid I guess. Would be nice to get some recognition on or nearer the day though. Guess it depends on the force.

@DS_Tom_Hamm Guess formally it can’t be confirmed until the Hone Secretary issues the medal. I had a choice of getting mine presented at a formal ceremony but due to Covid that was cancelled. The. The 2nd one too. So asked for it to be sent in the end. I had done 21 ½ by then

So today marks 21 years in Policing and still no formal recognition of my my 20 years which is when you should get your long service and good conduct medal/certificate, not even an email! Value your staff as they are your greatest asset.

@checkmatetrain ✅ done. Thanks Paul and Julianna. It was both useful and reassuring. Knew most of what was covered but useful to have it explained and full of handy tips about what the exam may test and things to look for. Brilliant. Thank you. Phil Dix

@checkmatetrain PACE seizure only in play after PACE arrest, has suspicion so can arrest and stay on property legally and seize the items following arrest with s19.

PC HIPGRAVE is engaged in house-to-house enquiries in respect of a murder. He has been invited into a house by LAPORTE (who owns the house). When PC HIPGRAVE starts asking LAPORTE questions, LAPORTE says "Actually, I don't want to speak to you - I want you to leave my house now!". As PC HIPGRAVE is leaving he sees, in the hallway of LAPORTE's house, what he believes to be property stolen in a robbery that took place two days ago. PC HIPGRAVE believes that it is necessary to seize the property to prevent it being lost. Can PC HIPGRAVE seize the property using the power under s. 19 PACE84?

@Clifffan20 @BLUETOOJ @checkmatetrain The exam is testing your knowledge of the law not your Policing skills. Forget the real world, enter the Sandford world where you only deal with the offence or law they are asking you about.

@checkmatetrain So, should the officer arrest Laporte sus robbery then seize the item or leave and get a warrant?
