When I was building spacecraft, one of our engineers would stand behind us while we were laying wire harnesses and read from the Bible. We would sometimes pray before a large operation. He brought his Bible into the cleanroom and privately prayed over a vehicle before we sent it into test. I'm pretty sure he prayed over the Orion that is being flown on Artemis II as well. The Orion team was just as religious, if not more religious, than we were. We are "the science" and we're glad Astronaut Glover is as faithful as us.

The dorks who found reasons to be cynical and critical about this mission look dumber by the day. This whole thing has been so cool. The crew has been sharing the Gospel the entire time. And now this moment. If you can't be inspired by this, you're dead inside. An empty vessel.

The Artemis II crew named a lunar crater after Commander Reid Wiseman's late wife, Carroll. What a beautiful and touching moment. I'm not crying, you're crying 🤧

Very good. I agree. Act are calling for extending deportation liability for serious crimes beyond 20 years so there is no time limit. The Government’s new immigration legislation only extends it from 10 to 20 years.
ACT New Zealand@actparty

𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 ACT’s Immigration spokesperson Dr Parmjeet Parmar says while the Government is right to extend deportation liability, it should take it a step further and make it unlimited for serious offenders. “We support moves to strengthen the system, and it is encouraging to see progress in this area, but the proposed extension to 20 years still falls short of what’s needed to deal with serious offending.” says Dr Parmar. “Increasing the liability period from 10 to 20 years does not fully address the issue. When someone is granted the privilege of living in New Zealand, it comes with an expectation that they will respect our laws. When that trust is seriously breached, there must be meaningful consequences. “I wrote to the Minister outlining that deportation liability for serious offending should be extended to an unlimited period. This would reinforce accountability, strengthen public confidence in the immigration system, and better protect the safety and cohesion of our communities. “Residency is a privilege that must be maintained through ongoing respect for our laws and values. “New Zealanders expect an immigration system that is fair, but also firm. That means being clear that serious criminal offending will always have consequences, regardless of when it occurs.”

New TPU/Curia poll has NZ First surging, National regaining some ground but remaining under 30%, and the wider left bloc down considerably. Coalition would be returned on these figures:

Leftists in the Anglosphere love to use this duplicitous argument now where they will say “Britain is in decline we can’t ally with them” but if you point out that this decline is simply a symptom of demographic replacement, which they all support, they will call you a racist.

Most people know that New Zealand’s wholesale electricity price is set by the highest-cost generator in the network, which these days is usually the coal-and-gas-fired Huntly Power Station, providing crucial backup when hydro lakes are low or wind isn’t blowing. What’s less well understood is that households and businesses are effectively paying a carbon premium on every unit of electricity they consume, including the 88–90% generated from emission-free sources. Not because those generators emit carbon, but because the market pays every generator the price that Huntly needs to cover its costs, including its ETS bill. In 2024, the ETS caused New Zealand electricity consumers to pay almost $1.5 billion more for electricity. The Crown collected $223 million of that. The remaining $1.277 billion stayed in the electricity sector, captured as additional profit by generators who emit nothing and owe nothing under the ETS. This happens because only carbon-emitting generators face ETS costs, but those same generators set the wholesale price for everyone. Somewhat counter-intuitively, building more solar, wind, and hydro will not reduce this cost to consumers. More renewables mean more generators receiving the ETS-inclusive price.

Juries don't work because you changed the people Flying doesn't work because you changed the people Stores, schools, hospitals--they don't work because you changed the people You can't change the people and keep the system, the system was made for the people

Jury trials don’t work because they are no longer trials of our justice-minded peers, but rather ethnic headcount’s that are determined by the in group preferences of the jurors Particularly, black and Hispanic jurors show a notable tendency to side with their ethnic group against the evidence of the case is an interracial one

It wasn’t that long ago millions of young people had some of the best months of their lives stolen from them all to unsuccessfully avoid what was a nasty cold for the overwhelming majority. To suggest youngsters have not sacrificed anything in recent years is offensive guff.

Just days prior to Easter, the most important Christian holiday, our politicians decided to launch an attack on it, passing another law undermining Easter trading restrictions. We need leaders who defend our culture and way of life, not leaders who undermine it. Showing respect for, and preserving our traditional public holidays is part of that. Good Friday everyone. Developing a nuclear plant with large reactors cost billions, often becoming the single most important reason why countries opt-out of nuclear energy. @CphAtomics reactor (size of a shipping container) comes with a price tag of only $50 million. Total game changer.
