Kindly note that I was one of 3 executive producers on Sense8 for Netflix charged with writing/delivering a show averaging $4-5M per episode, with a huge cast, shot on location in ten countries, with shared creative control with the W's, and I didn't burst into flame doing it

If there is a state with greater scenic beauty than Oregon, I haven’t seen it. Mountains, high desert, Pacific, Hood, Columbia, Portland — it’s just spectacular. I don’t want to spoil anything for residents, but it’s a truly underrated state. I’m lucky to have married into it.

Book rec: Jade City by Fonda Lee!
This is an absolute thrill ride. Set in a fantasy of 1970s Japan, brutal gangs fight for control using Jade stones that grant super powers.
Plenty of action, it still takes time for great world building and nuanced characters.

This also goes for volunteering to knock on doors for them during campaign season. Local electeds are literally just normal people and you can usually get ahold of them and bend their ear about whatever local issue you have
