@evandawson The opposite. Kids today seem remarkably kind and supportive of one another, and people in general seem far more interested in accounting for the consequences of their actions.

Tweeps, straightforward question: Do you think that people, in general, were kinder and more moral when you were growing up? If so, when did it start to decline?

@tressiemcphd Meanwhile, “Nothing to Worry About” as a subject line could be a murder weapon in an e-mail to someone with heart problems.

@Futterish Huh. I just beat Ganondorf this evening. Still got a bunch of stuff to do, but I’ll be looking for something else soonish. A return to Destiny could be excellent.

@evandawson Prime yearly. It’s decent. Then there’s a rotating list of one or two others each month. Right now, that’s an expiring Apple TV+ sub (really great stuff there, but not a deep catalog) and Peacock. Joined for three things, and beyond that, there’s almost nothing that appeals.

Quick survey: How many streaming services do you subscribe to? Are you happy with them? (You’re not still on cable, are you?)

@scottfybush Are there two spaces after the comma following “state”, or is it me? Wouldn’t stop me voting for a candidate, but I was pretty impressed by the slate endorsed by the WFP.

@jendziura And, on the other side, prioritizing anti-aging beauty products and their diligent use is how you announce the value of beauty and its defense. Think about how valued wives must feel when their husbands force such product regimes on them!

And if your answer is about artwork that we keep indoors or in a museum for its safety, then the logical end of the metaphor is to end rape culture, not to police women’s clothing.

@AmandaFarough Well, I played it in college, and the only thing I remember about it was that you could bind the "sprint" key to Caps Lock, which was clearly desirable and seemed like a brilliant bit of branding.

@mattthr I’m planning on making some rooms and corridors to get ready for Leviathan. How tall should they be to accommodate the new sculpts?

@Futterish I thought about replying to this with “But I like my face!”, and then realized I’m more like “Eh—it’s familiar”.

@SiyandaWrites Well, he was my dream Tom Bombadil, and I hear they’re making more Lords of the Rings (Lord of the Ringses?), so that’d be my hope.

@Futterish Okay, but … I sure do want Leviathan. Space Hulk really launched me into GW games, so a box that introduces a newer, faster edition with terminators vs. close-enough genestealers in terrific sculpts is so very attractive.

@Futterish @FFGames It is a joy to have finally come to accept that many of the things I’ve long liked are now so big that not everything in them is for me. OTOH, I still want way more of those things than I can reasonably play, so I have some progress still to make.

@UrbanPhoenixBlg It’s taken me about ten years to come around to the ideas of spinach in smoothies and donating platelets, but, in both cases, I can remember the precise conversation which started me on that path. You might be planting slow-growing seeds.

It’s hard to step outside of our own ego, but it’s harder to realize that people you love who speak extensively against egotistical perspectives perpetuate self-protection in the wake of difficult realities. I’m a little broken today.

Tonight I told a loved one that, despite their hardships, they are privileged and will never know hardship AND the cruelty of racism based on skin color. I was called arrogant and condescending, and told I had no right because I haven’t been on this earth long enough.

@SusanArendt I failed. They do apparently sell a Steamboat Willie hat, but not at Art of Animation. (Thanks to cast member Dawn for searching on my behalf!)

@SusanArendt Coincidentally, I’ll be staying at Art of Animation for a few days starting tomorrow, and would think their gift shop might be a good place to look for Steamboat Willie merch. I’ll keep an eye out for you.
