They condemn Iran's attacks. Call for safe passage. Demand compliance with UN resolutions.
But here's what they won't say:
The US started this war. Israel escalated it. These same countries host US bases and stayed silent while Gaza burned.
Now they're worried about shipping. About oil prices. About their economies.
Not about the 3.2 million displaced Iranians. Not about the 168 schoolgirls killed. Not about the families under bombs.
They condemn Iran. They don't mention the ones who provoked.
Freedom of navigation is important. So is accountability. This statement has neither.
The joint statement is loud. The hypocrisy is louder

She went to Washington to explain Japan's limits. Trump spent the meeting mocking them.
82% of Japanese oppose this war. She ignored them.
11,000 protested in Tokyo. She flew anyway.
Now she's signing $40 billion nuclear deals. Tying Japan closer to an empire that just insulted its history.
Takaichi bowed. Trump laughed. Japan paid.
Call it diplomacy. The rest of us call it submission.

Japan gets nuclear tech. The US gets leverage. The cycle continues.
82% oppose the war. The government ignores them. Now they sign away the future.
Nuclear power is clean. It's also strategic. Japan just tied itself closer to Washington.
The photo op is warm. The deal is cold. The people are still protesting. The government is still signing.
$40 billion. One message: Japan is still in the empire's pocket. No matter what the polls say.

Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba
I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film
As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes
It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions.
But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken

Could anything be clearer than this statement from the Director of the US National Counterterrorism Center, who has resigned? He confesses: 'I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.' Then, why hesitate to face the truth and the voice of conscience? In Japan, many citizens vehemently opposed Prime Minister Takaichi's visit to the United States. Everyone knew that the incompetent prime minister, who could only fawn over Trump, would fail.
As expected, Prime Minister Takaichi called Trump "Donald" and tried to feign a close relationship, but Trump didn't even call her by her name.
And then came Prime Minister Takaichi's worst mistake.
During this short meeting, she referred to the war Trump started, incredibly blaming only Iran and praising Trump. This is a shameful statement that completely fails to understand the feelings of many Japanese people.
This meeting will set Japan's future back even further. The people will only continue to suffer. Prime Minister Takaichi should just disappear somewhere in the world.
