Hi guys, so I’ve officially fallen victim to the 8 year old clothing items getting copyright strikes and have had my account terminated… over the past 2 weeks I’ve gotten back to back removal and strike emails for having musicians names in some of my old clothing (1/?)

Are SEVEN to EIGHT years old… I have not violated the terms of use. This was not against them when these things were uploaded. I feel like I’m being gaslit by Roblox support at this point.

Once again, another copy and pasted response from a new person in my email thread insisting that after I received the strikes, I continued uploading copyrighted material in present day.. failing to acknowledge that these items, like I have said like 10000 times at this point-

@roblox @robloxdevrel Not only is your moderation system heavily against those who are wrongfully punished but those who try to appeal have such little information to work with on their part and are practically at your mercy. @ripdope is so well known and this ban needs priority.

I sent my appeal last night & I can already tell they never read what I wrote & just looked at the username, saw what the termination was for and just copy and pasted the standard “your account was rightly deleted..” etc etc emails… (7/?)

@lilskylarx There were warnings which were the copyright strikes but unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to put together my list of potential infringement items to submit to them & they took me out :/

@ripdope I’m honestly wondering if this would be a situation that could go legal against roblox. 10+ year old account, thousands of dollars, hundreds if not thousands of hours developing and making art for their site. All gone with no warning.

The RIAA sucks & has nothing better to do than to copyright claim PNG files that dare use any graphics or memorabilia related to music artists. I highly recommend everyone go through their clothing catalog and rename/take offsale anything that mentions a music artist.

Really sad how these creators are just left to figure out what to do next after getting banned/terminated. It amazes me how @Roblox does nothing to help its creators/artists and there are never any real solutions to fix these things.

Roblox's repeat infringer DMCA policy is bullshit if it isn't possible to take down the assets in advance. Clothing **NEEDS** to be archivable. I've had more than a few friends terminated now because of this.
