American team took it to us in the Semis today, then won 8-2 in the chip. Lot of great ball players on this team, several have been A’s for 4+ years. Always hate losing, but happy for these guys. Proud of y’all! 35 wins!! Congrats @jon_bunyard. Program is as strong as ever.

One day in my office, this young man told me his goal of becoming a professional ball player. He told me “iIf people aren’t laughing at your goals, they are not high enough.” That quote stuck with me and still use it today. Congrats @JakeMcmahill on this awesome accomplishment!

My college baseball career ended a little over a month ago. Here are 5 lessons I learned over my playing time that I believe to be true. A thread🧵:

Want to recognize the Irish Boys that received post-season honors in '22... Jack Schoen was the ultimate utility player for us this year. He can hit, pitch, play anywhere in the field, bunt….you name it. He’s that guy pal. #ComingBack

Cole Schoen is a great arm in our bullpen, looking more like a Senior than a Sophomore. He pitched in eleven tough games this season and never wavered. #ComingBack

Ben Ruter was a strong stick in our lineup and also made some great plays in the outfield. He has a great approach at the plate, only striking out 7 times in 91 AB’s. #ComingBack

Cole Leonhart is a great batter with a disciplined approach at the plate and a leader on this team. He led off the Irish throughout the season and also led the team in walks and stolen bases. We will miss Cole and wish him luck at Three Rivers. #HeGone😫
