🚀A defining moment for humanity.
The Artemis II crew didn’t just travel farther than any humans before..they pushed the boundaries of exploration itself. Re-entering Earth’s atmosphere at ~24,000 mph (≈32x the speed of sound) and returning safely is no small feat.
Why this matters:
🌕 Lays groundwork for sustained lunar missions
🔬 Advances deep-space navigation & life-support systems
🌍 Strengthens global scientific collaboration
💡 Inspires the next generation of innovators
NASA’s Artemis program is aiming for a long-term human presence on the Moon and eventually Mars. Milestones like this turn that vision into reality.
Salute to the astronauts and the thousands of engineers behind the scenes 👏

What the Artemis II astronauts did over the last 10 days was a testament to their bravery. And the fact that they traveled farther from Earth than anyone ever has, re-entered our atmosphere at more than 24,000 mph, and splashed down safely was a testament to human ingenuity. Thanks to everyone at @NASA for making this mission possible, and for taking us along for the ride.
