Introducing a new open-source tool called TeamCopilot: a coding agent for teams (github.com/rishabhpoddar/…). Think Claude Code, but shared across your entire team and running on your cloud. A few key differences compared to other AI agents: • Multi-user environment -> everyone uses the same agent setup. Configure once, the whole team can use it. • Skill & tool permissions -> control who can use which skills and tools through the agent. Example: allow only certain people in the team to use a skill for making server config changes. • Approval workflow -> anyone can create tools/skills, but engineers in the team must approve them before the agent can even see them. • Fully auditable -> chat sessions can’t be deleted by users and are stored on your server. • Use it anywhere -> web UI lets you talk to the agent even when you're away from your work machine. The aim here is create a safe and user friendly environment for all team members to leverage AI agents! It works with OpenAI and Claude models using API keys or subscriptions! This is just a start and a lot more features coming up! 👀

@Kekius_Sage I don’t think so. Cause the more we understand, the more questions come up as well. As such, knowledge is an infinite pursuit.

@rumilyrics The question is, how do you know that it actually has great long term potential?

@VaibhavSisinty Yea!! Everyone keeps talking about Claude code, which is great, but codex IMO is better!

@rxhit05 Work on challenging problems. Either at work or just random personal projects. Sooner or later, you will run into unsolved issues in that space. And maybe those are good candidates for problems to solve.

Try this on Claude code: “hey, I have OpenAI codes installed too.. in this session, delegate all your tasks to codex”. And then give it a task.

This used to happen to me too. I emailed the yc team that maintains HN, and they said my posts were intentionally not being shown to anyone even though they weren’t marked as dead. This was cause I only used to post self promotional posts. To fix it, I had to post many helpful comments and engage with the community and eventually this issue got fixed.

Has anyone had success when posting a "Show HN" on Hacker News? 3rd time posting on HN and always get 1 point only. It feels impossible to stand out there.

@steren It’s also exhausting! You’re not just reviewing what it built, you’re also hunting for edge cases it missed… the same ones you’d only think of if you were implementing it yourself.

@pmarca I see this happening already with a few people I know. I always thought that humans would alway only want to express their feelings to another human (empathy is what they seek). As long as AI can convincingly fake empathy, it works at least for some people.

@elonmusk @OfficialLoganK That’s assuming that people are able to correctly and thoroughly specify what they want to the LLM before it codes it up…

The bottleneck has so quickly moved from code generation to code review that it is actually a bit jarring. None of the current systems / norms are setup for this world yet.

A lot of negative reviews here! Despite the likes, this product is pretty lame. I had built something far better at least for Reddit marketing: autolead.trythis.app. It shows you marketable posts from relevant subreddits based on your website. You can then generate reply comments that are not too “markety” but plug your product in a subtle way.

Tried it out. So the product scans stuff, then it shows Reddit tells me people post about my company, surfaces competitors I already knew about ages ago, wraps it in a dashboard, and wants me to scream “OMG we saved $60k. At this point I’m convinced half of startup hype is just polished demos. How’s this the “ultimate CMO” for me

@denohawari Isn’t it the same as regular SEO? Since LLMs just use tool call to do search (which uses bing or brave search or DuckDuckGo etc)

How to stop codex from being so defensive in its coding style? For example, in python, it always uses a default fallback when reading from a dict like dict.get(“key”, []) even though it’s very obvious from the code right above it that a prop with the name “key” is always in the dict.
