Funniest part about it is single payer healthcare and nationalized healthcare aren’t even the same thing. Single payer basically means there’s one insurance policy (the state/medicare, etc) but the actual healthcare is run privately. To have an NHS would mean to do away with insurance entirely, the state runs the entirety of the healthcare apparatus and raises taxes to fund it. It’s very telling about the limitedness of the scope we hold in America that single payer is considered the promised land lol
