We wouldn’t say “AOC is a commie who will fix all your problems vote for her”, we’ll explain and engage w them the exact way most ppl already think about voting , which is “we want to do xyz and this person is the best shot for 28 for these reasons”

It’s not about teaching the masses a lesson. It’s about acknowledging their *already existent* mass support for her among the progressive base. As well as fundamentally agreeing she’s progressive historically at this juncture, while *simultaneously* making our reservations clear.

@antifa_17 @sarkozy64 For one because, despite being led by capitalists/slavers/settlers, it was starter pistol of a Pan-American anti-colonial revolt that went on for 60 years between the 1770s and the 1830s. Without the revolution there is no Haiti, France, etc. The counterrevolution is in 1788

@sarkozy64 ‘America’ as a whole contains multitudes yes. It includes slave revolts, the civil war, militant union struggles, civil rights struggles, etc. But how exactly can the American Revolution itself be reframed as part of the struggle for liberation without immense deception?

America can be characterized by its worst crimes. But it can be characterized in many ways. It also involves anti-colonial resistance, no? Which characterization is necessary for the construction of socialism as a national project? AOC’s approach is more viable towards that end.

It doesnt matter if youre part of an organization or if youre just from the area and are willing to do it. Quantity over quality
