To those who don’t know, I have a 10 year old daughter and a 9 year old son. Tonight at dinner, I told them the @Chiefs won’t be in the playoffs… the absolute confusion in their eyes, broke me, and also made me realize how legendary the last 10 years have been for Chiefs fans. They both in unison, said “wait, it’s possible the Chiefs aren’t in the playoffs?” I said “sadly, yes, that was most of childhood.” They understand that you can’t win a championship every year. But missing the playoffs was something that they never thought possible. And I’m so glad I got to watch 5 super bowls and 3 wins with them. I hope they get the same joy when they’re adults as I got from 3 superbowls and 1 World Series that I got in my prime adult life. There are adults 20 years older than me, in buffalo NY, that haven’t had the joy I’ve had in the last 80 years. Pat isn’t in your way now, better go win it @BuffaloBills good luck!
