Watching Lakshmi Agarwal's interview broke me.
She was just 15 years old when a 32-year-old man threw acid on her because she rejected him.
What shattered me even more was what she described happened afterward. The man responsible was granted bail, got married, and his wife even accompanied him to court. Meanwhile, Lakshmi was enduring surgeries, unbearable pain, and a lifetime of trauma.
She also spoke about a painful reality she sees in society: that men who commit horrific crimes like acid attacks , rape and bride burning are often accepted back into normal life and go on to find wives and families, while survivors are left to carry the scars and the stigma.
Indian Society arrange wives for such men cause of attitude that "ladke hain, galti ho jaati hai,"
A girl's "No" became her punishment. His crime didn't stop him from getting a future.

18th June - A 13 y/o girl took an e-rickshaw to go to her home, the driver kidnapped her, and over the next five days, she was sold multiple times and sexually assaulted by 32 men.
