After the season was over in the American Conference Tournament, FAU HC John Jakus expressed optimism that some of the team’s starters would be returning next season. So far, they’ve lost 3 starters to the transfer portal (Vanterpool, Parker, Elohim)

in the two-years of the jakus era, FAU has only retained FOUR total scholly players from a previous year. Of those four, FAU returned ONE start & a combined 7.2% of scoring. in BOTH seasons of Jakus era, FAU produced American's Freshman of the Year & Most Improved Player. so consume that how you will. #FAU🦉

guys, just remember that, as @GaryParrishCBS points out, in the transient NIL era, while being bankrolled by a top 3 delivery giant on the planet, it's everyone else's fault in the American that Penny Hardaway isn't getting 5-stars to memphis or retaining his top players (nevermind the fact he poached his best player last year from in-conference tulsa). also, no longer having SMU in the conference is just simply too much to overcome. (FAU is 91-35 in 3+ years, with 2 NCAAT apps & 4 NCAAT wins, has undergone back-to-back roster turnovers, flies commercial on every road trip & plays in a "high school gym".)
