@SimonMagus Does society need to collapse for there to be civil war? Society can nominally hold together whilst around it civil war (by some definition) persists. To adapt your example, young folk still helped older folk in 70s Belfast.

@rjpeaky That feels quite a lot like recent definitions of genocide where the meaning gets stretched essentially to meet a political position rather than in the search for objectivity. My contention is that Britain is very badly governed not that society is collapsing.

@rjpeaky Ah, bugger. Shame. I was told by the staff at Panmure House in Edinburgh (his official museum & where he lived for the last 10 years of his life) that there was nothing left of his house in Kirkcaldy. I wasn’t aware of the walled garden there, tho.

Probably my favourite National. My grandma was from Co. Durham so she and most of my aunts and uncles were on Durham Edition and stood to win loads. Little me with my pocket money on R'n'R got drowned out by all the cursing.
