@sashedelic Even after that miss the other day that would have made us safe? Effort is great, and he does pop up with goals when I least expect it. But he is erratic and a little too unreliable.

A key shot in ‘THE PUNISHER: ONE LAST KILL’ that fans have mocked for being unfinished VFX was mostly an in-camera shot. The only VFX used in the shot was to swap out the stuntman’s face for Bernthal’s (Source: hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/mar…)

@THE_only_R0N @DerekBrocks It's just at the end unfortunately. The beard and hair trim I imagine is supposed to demonstrate his refocusing on his 'mission'. He's fraying at the seams, trying to give it up and the events of the show remind he why he does what he does so he shapes up and gets back to work.

@DerekBrocks Does he wear the actual uniform in the special or is it just at the end? Also is there a reason he gets a fresh haircut and sculpts his beard like he’s a dude bro gym rat influencer from Jersey shore?

Beyond one ridiculously lousy CGI fall (you know the one 👀) I loved "The Punisher: One Last Kill" a brutal, unflinching gauntlet of skillfully crafted, grimy ultra-violence. When Hatebreed came on it tapped into a "Punisher: Warzone" tone that I couldn't help but love !💀🔥🔪🩸

@DerekBrocks I really liked it. Given it was largely just a stretch of violence it could have overstayed its welcome but the shorter length really kept it tight. It was visceral but justified... it really did remind me of a one-shot comic in the best way.

@TheN17Hub_ ...a decision, he said 'no foul' and VAR did what it did, checked, couldn't see any 'clear and obvious' reason to overrule so the decision stood. Deciding no pen is still a decision even if, as Madders says, it was wrong.

@TheN17Hub_ I love James, I don't think there's a problem with him saying he touched it but I'm not sure I agree with the next bit. Why would a ref be scared of making a decision because of VAR, he should eb less scared because he knows VAR can clear it up if he's wrong. Plus, he did make...

@BossTHFC The tackle on Maddison isn't aggressive. It's from the side for a start, almost zero chance of snapping his leg. And that's the point, if you get the ball, but still go in studs first in to a player's ankle or shin it's reckless, excessive and dangerous i.e. a foul

@mjsimpsonfilms There was Black Lace one knocking around at my grandparents when I was a kid. I played it every time I went round there.. not a party though, but I loved it.

There is a long history of 'party albums' from Mrs Mills & Winifred Attwell to Russ Abbott & Black Lace via various TV soap casts. Did anyone ever actually play these at parties? It's a curious subgenre of the music industry that has not, I suspect, been properly investigated.

@djbradshaw64 @rkidwes @pokeefe1 @yidstoms @Kevous79 @marcus_buckland WHU-ARS var tape: VAR shows Kavangh about Trossard and Rice holding (back towards the corner flag holding around waist). Angrily instantly dismiss it "Idk what you are trying to show me, oh thats nothing". Its def SOMETHING pen or not. Scared shitless of backlash of giving pen

@hurstspurs1987 @yidstoms @pokeefe1 @Kevous79 @marcus_buckland I'm not sure of your point. I said the ref thought there was a touch. Not that I did. I said it doesn't matter because it's taking this long for any consensus. If only all footballers always told the truth the ref could have just asked them(!) 🤦‍♂️

@mylescoverdale @BossTHFC To be honest, I couldn't follow your example and when you're going to those lengths to explain your point it feels like you've lost the important thread. Either way "There's never been consensus on any call ever" is a mad thing to say.

@rkidwes @BossTHFC There will never be consensus because people are dumb, biased and easily manipulated. There's never been consensus on any call ever. Does this mean there are no right calls?

@djbradshaw64 @pokeefe1 @rkidwes @yidstoms @Kevous79 @marcus_buckland This is the whole problem to me with var. In theory its easy to exploit every 60-40 50-50 40-60 decision. Say you decide to whistle this for arsenal and wait var to overturn -> not obv so its a pen. Dont whistle for tottenham -> not obv so its not pen. Easy to hide behind var

@JouniAlho @djbradshaw64 @pokeefe1 @yidstoms @Kevous79 @marcus_buckland But I feel with that you're suggesting the ref is thinking 'if I do this then who is it for and what will VAR do'. I can't speak for refs but they're professionals, you'd expect they make the decision as they see it (as it's always been) and then VAR intervenes or not.

@jrk811 @twill_94 Mate, come on. I'm Spurs too but a light touch on the ball, a 'tickle' is enough. There's no rule about how heavy the touch needs to be just is there a touch and then a consideration as to whether the tackle was excessive or dangerous.

@twill_94 Nonsense! At best a light touch on the ball. Made no difference to where the ball was going but he still takes Maddison out. It’s a blatant pen. You can’t get away with wiping someone out when you’ve barely touched tht ball.

I’ve not seen that 8 second rule applied much this season, but to apply it when Darlow didn’t even hold it for 8 seconds is crazy… But then you realise it’s one of the PL ‘big 6’ who are in trouble, are you surprised?

@twill_94 @jrk811 I absolutely agree he won the ball, even if he didn't the ref thought he did and it's not 100% clear nearly 24 hours later. BUT, if the plan was to help Spurs out wouldn't it have been easier to give the pen rather than worry about the 8 second rule?

@ThomasMumford9 @UncleSals101 @BossTHFC And that's exactly as it was last night if the ref considered there to have been contact on the ball (which is the reason we're having this discussion). You can debate whether there was contact but if there was and the ref clearly thought there was it was the right call.

@rkidwes @UncleSals101 @BossTHFC Below is the criteria usually followed when the ball has been deemed to have been won first as it could still result in a careless challenge.

@wayneleedsfan Are you seriously suggesting Chelsea aren't on the side of 'entitled clowns'. They're the ultimate entitled clowns. The original. Strange who people will align themselves with.

Never ever forget Spurs wanted to break away and form their own super league despite having no reason to be included in a big 6 other than a shiny new stadium. Chelsea, Newcastle, Everton. Do the right thing and play your part in sending these entitled clowns down.

@hurstspurs1987 @yidstoms @pokeefe1 @Kevous79 @marcus_buckland You don't know the ref did avoid the big call... just cos it didn't go your way. The ref probably did make a big call, and his big call was that it wasn't a foul. Then VAR said 'we can't prove it either way so stick with that call'. That is making a big call.

@djbradshaw64 @pokeefe1 @yidstoms @Kevous79 @marcus_buckland I agree. Which is right. People say they don't want VAR re-reffing a game so yeah, we take the ref's decision unless VAR can see it's clearly wrong. And then you get O'Hara banging on about 'he needs to make a decision and not leave it to VAR'. He did. No foul.
