Trump: Open the Strait in 48 hours or I strike your power plants. Iran: No. Trump: You have 48 hours. Iran: You said that already. 48 hours later World: So? Trump: We’ve had very productive negotiations. I’m extending it five days. Iran: There were no negotiations. Trump: Quiet negotiations. Iran: So quiet they only happened in your head. Trump: This is strategy. Iran: No. This is you trying to leave your own bluff without making noise. Trump: Don’t test me. Iran: We did. That’s why you added five more days. World: So the Strait stays closed? Iran: Closed. Trump: For now. Iran: No. Just closed. Trump: We’ll see what happens. Iran: We already saw. You gave the ultimatum. We said, No. The clock expired. Then you negotiated with embarrassment. Trump: I’m still in control. Iran: Of the calendar, maybe.

I respect Toomas very much but this attitude is beyond comprehension to me. 1) Baltics are a much easier invasion target for Russia compared to Ukraine. 2) NATO refused to defend Ukraine for irrational fear of attack by Russia and its nukes. What's going to be different? 3) NATO can't defend the Baltics. Insufficient will, munitions, and zero ability to counter Russian drone swarms. 4) Russia can occupy the capitals in hours/days, dig in, mine the area, and then snipe at any allied infantry with artillery and drones that may try to come through. Is NATO going to bomb Tallin, Riga, and Vilnius? Russia is willing to lose millions of soldiers in the war. How many are Poland or Finland willing to lose? What about Germany? 5) Alternately Russia could start by occupying Narva in Estonia and gauge the reaction. Is today's NATO going to go WW3 over a tiny border town with 50,000 population? 6) Europe doesn't have enough missiles to do any meaningful damage to Russia. Once out of conventional munitions, you're crazy if you think France or the UK will launch pre-emptive nukes against Moscow because Russia expanded its border by 10km, 1,700km away in Estonia. 7) If Russia invades the Baltics it's because NATO members refused to defend Ukraine. Every single nation refused to do the right thing - send troops to help Ukraine when it mattered most. They still haven't done it. You reap what you sow.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Except Ukraine wasn't in NATO. And what if Russia fails to destroy NATO and St. Petersburgh finds itself under a rain of missiles? Quite a gamble to "destroy NATO"

👏 Helped eliminate 150 invaders: 19-year-old Russian soldier defected to Ukraine A 19-year-old soldier of the 102nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 150th Division, Artem, helped the Defense Forces destroy Russian equipment. He contacted the "I Want to Live" project in mid-November 2025 and stated that he wanted to surrender. The Russian soldier also said that he wanted to provide assistance to the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Artem is a 19-year-old native of Novosibirsk, he was drafted into military service despite studying at a higher educational institution. He is currently fighting in the Russian Volunteer Corps.

Stortingskantina blir vel full av belgfrukter fremover, practice what you preach

@WW3finalboss Imagine if we acted as tough as we talked in Europe. Ukraine would have won back all its territory ages ago.

🇩🇪🇺🇦 Germany signals a harder line on Ukraine "Ukraine needs a strong army and should not be forced to cede any of its territory".. - Friedrich Merz 🇩🇪 That’s a clear shift in tone from Berlin, less talk of compromise, more emphasis on strength and sovereignty. The message is pretty direct, no land for peace, and Ukraine stays armed.

@hvjanolov @VeikoSpolitis @igorsushko @NATO @Ukraine Until the US leaves NATO, I have very little faith in the rest of us. Our government *still* wont give NAMMO what they need to expand production for rocketfuel faster. After *4* years of full scale war, initiated by our neighbour.

@VeikoSpolitis @igorsushko @NATO @Ukraine Nobody is doubting the size of your balls. It's more the realism. The baltics with ~30k troops combined is not a huge threat for a country that has lost >1 million troops in Ukraine, and shows no sign of stopping.

@VeikoSpolitis @igorsushko @NATO @Ukraine Will Trump start WW3 over a small town in a small country? The man who threatened military action towards the nato-country known for being insanely pro-US? Who told putin he'd get ukraine to give up all of Donbass?

@mobbs_mentality @steven_pifer EU is shit. It has however not tried to give away 20% of Ukraine (except the candidate Trump supports). I can *easily* complain about how shit Europe is and how bad Biden was. If you refuse to admit that Trump is *worse* for Ukraine, I dont see how your voice should matter on UA.

I am genuinely interested in your thoughts on the rest of the article which highlights deep friction between MPs, the Cabinet, and the OP reflecting challenges of internal governance and the portion dedicated to the failures of the EU where it refers to Europe as "world champions of loud statements." This article is well-worth reading because of its nance and expansiveness, but if the only takeaway is "Trump bad," the authors will have labored for little and all of these other crises will continue to be ignored, minimized, or unaddressed.

Disgraceful if true that US is pressing #Ukraine to give up part of Donbas that #Russia has never occupied. Kyiv has shown readiness to make painful compromises to end war; Moscow has not. Did Trump do deal with Putin in Anchorage last August over heads of Ukrainians?
Phillips P. OBrien@PhillipsPOBrien

An article worth reading. Turns out that at Anchorage Trump not only rolled out the red carpet for Putin, he promised to force Ukraine to hand over the Donbas to Russia. Its been the consistent US move since and Ukraine understands it. pravda.com.ua/articles/2026/…

@SpaghettiKozak @philthatremains I'll never not find it funny that democrats are called radical left. They're more conservative than our conservative party on most topics, aside from Bernie who would be considered more or less a centre/ centre-right candidate here.

@mobbs_mentality russias nukes are pointed at you, but trump still thinks he can be trusted, and tries to get putin a win in Ukraine. You'd think americans would care more and help as this clearly concerns their own safety and security.
