Angus Taylor tells Sky After Dark viewers it was a “mistake” for any Libs to distance themselves from Trump & MAGA at the 2025 election. “You won’t see me doing it!” Angus wants this to stay in the late-night Sky vault. Please share so mainstream Aussies also find out. #auspol

John Howard’s Govt policies drove house prices up by more than 400% over the past 26 years, almost twice as fast as average full-time earnings, making housing wildly unaffordable. Budget reforms bring back fairness and opportunity, especially for young workers. @unionsaustralia

Link housing to migration? Sure. “Mass” migration pushed by enraged Porleen, the Beetrooter, Angus Taylor, IPA, Advance, Tony Abbott + Murdoch megaphones is discredited here 👇by the data. One migrant does not equal one house.
💧 Jackie@jaquix173

100%. Alan Kohler left them dead - all 3 - Maiden, Coorey and Speers! None (incl Angus) had twigged that 1000 migrants didn't need 1000 houses. Typical household is 2.4 people. Therefore Angus would need more migrants not less!

Those who claimed renewables can’t power Australia’s heavy industry must now confront reality. An Australian steel mill is sourcing majority renewable power — for the first time ever. The energy transition isn’t coming. It’s here. smh.com.au/business/compa…

Sam just got blown out of the water with her phoney migration numbers by the astute @AlanKohler who had the facts not a fantasy. #insiders

Alan Kholer is recognised as a leading economist his knowledge certainly left Speersy speechless. He single handily just blew up LNP and No Nations immigration policy by telling the actual truth about housing and migration. Think he should be a permanent panellist. #auspole

Alan Kohler today exposed how #Insiders has been passing off political media hacks as authorities on economic issues. His authoritative yet plain speaking contribution was a refreshing change to the uneducated politically biased babble of the panel and host. #Auspol

Fantastic to see @AlanKohler on Insiders this morning. Facts, insights and ideas on the economy that is always absent from the show. They need an economist with knowledge on the show each week to offset the political mamby-pamby that tends to dominate

Polling indicates majority public support for Chalmers’ negative gearing/CGT changes to help level the property market playing field. But vested corporate media NewsCorp/AFR report otherwise and, daresay, will keep reporting otherwise .. until it is so.
William Bowe@PollBludger

After a week of "young Australians are turning on Chalmers' budget" (as per News Corp today), the first actual poll finding: 41-27 in favour of negative gearing changes, 38-26 on CGT. The AFR's headline? "Labor’s housing revamp fails to convince voters" afr.com/politics/feder…

“I’ve seen more detail on the back of a milk carton.”🔥 Wayne Swan unloads on Angus Taylor’s “fairytale” budget reply, labelling his uncosted tax promises a “horror show” to implement. We saw the exact same rubbish last term, how did that go? Peter Dutton 2.0. #auspol

The 5 million Angus Taylor thinks don’t vote and the millions in their households who do. Angus Taylor thinks he’s punishing non-citizens. They can’t vote, so it’s a free hit. That’s the entire logic. But it’s a logic only someone who has never lived in the big cities would consider. In the suburbs that decide elections, the household, not the individual, is the political unit. Three generations under one roof or in the same suburb. Grandparents on partner visas. Parents holding PR while the citizenship queue grinds on. Citizen kids enrolled to vote, working part-time, doing the family’s Services Australia paperwork at the kitchen table. Strip the NDIS from a permanent resident and you have not touched a single voter directly. You have touched their daughter. Their son. Their citizen niece. And they vote, very deliberately, for the people in their family who cannot. This is exactly the structural shape of post-war migrant Australia. Greek, Italian, Maltese, Lebanese, Vietnamese households where the citizen children voted for the whole family. It is alive and well, three generations on, in the outer suburbs the Coalition needs to win government. Taylor has told every one of those households that in his Australia, their parents are second-class. He thinks he’s chasing Hanson voters in Farrer. He’s actually handing Labor a permanent structural lock on the seats that decide who governs. And he has possibly committed his party to losing opposition status at the next election. Sarah Ferguson decimates Angus Taylor who can’t even say how many migrants he wants to cut despite announcing “one of the biggest cuts to immigration in Australia’s history” “A statement as bold as that requires a number to be put next to it. Otherwise it’s a slogan.”🔥 #auspol

Katy Gallagher takes Libs’ interjection complaining on Housing “bcoz it’s important to let everyone know” that the LNP “didn’t even have a Housing Policy, didn’t have a Housing Minister.” And that a big part of today’s problems are bcoz the LNP “did nothing”🔥 Sad fact. #auspol
