Richmond police responded to a call that a woman was firing a gun outside of an apartment complex on Midlothian Turnpike. When officers arrived they were directed to an upstairs area of the complex by residents. As one of the officers ascended the stairs, Jazmin Wooten-Mitchell (31) attempted to ambush the officer and opened fire. The wrong handed officer then drew his bone stock Glock 17 with no optic and no light and accurately returned fire, conducting an impromptu 9mm hollow point ballistics test on her torso. The test proved successful and she was pronounced dead on the scene, saving taxpayers millions of dollars. Related note - this is a good example of why you never want to get in a gunfight on/in stairs if you can avoid it. She had that cop dead to rights and the only reason he lived was her poor marksmanship.
