Just a reminder…🙏🇵🇸 The joy of Eid… a word that sounds easy on our tongues but weighs heavily on the hearts of those living in tents in Gaza There… No decorations are hung, but the tent's edges are tied so the wind doesn't tear it down No new clothes are bought but clothes soaked by rain that seeped inside are dried No festive feasts are prepared but a meager morsel is shared among people weakened by hunger More than a million people still live in tents that offer no protection from the cold or the rain many of which have been damaged or destroyed by storms Children face the bitter cold without adequate blankets and some have lost their lives due to the harsh conditions Mothers some pregnant struggle with pain and fear not for themselves but for their unborn children in a merciless world Students whose dreams have been extinguished by the weight of hunger and displacement… No books no schools only waiting For them Eid is not a time of joy… But a silent prayer: “Will anyone reach us to ease this pain?” Therefore… Don't let Eid pass as if Gaza is far away Their joy today is not a toy or a new outfit… Their joy is food, medicine shelter and safety 💔 If you can't do much… Do something. Donate… Share… Speak up… Perhaps you will be the reason for a child's smile, a mother's comfort, or a tent's warmth on a cold Eid night
