@rm_rivermede Serious FOMO as well here in NZ, knew I should have gone, too late now. The pandemic will be ongoing for 10 years, told that 3 years ago, still nice to follow WP activities and the Online program in a few weeks 🌏

I've had #longcovid for 2 years. I don't want to "rest" or get a check. I want to work, run, lift, study, date, stay up late, talk with my family and friends for hours, watch a movie, play videogames, cook, visit my grandmother, hike. And I can't do any of those things...

I wasn’t able to prevent my younger brother taking his own life as a teenager … but I have taken every opportunity in my life since to check in, care, support, give hope and kindness to all showing mental distress… it may just prevent another suicide.#WorldSuicidePreventionDay

Death and hospitalisation are not the only outcomes. The false dichotomy of “death Vs quick recovery”, has been a cause of delegitimising COVID causing prolonged illness. Disability and #LongCOVID remain largely ignored in the pandemic narrative, and even more so around #Omicron.
