DHH is correct that is the current state of play. Nerds love an excuse to buy the “Pro” model. But ultimately I do think local LLM are going to be become the norm, that just isn’t today.

One of my favourite questions to ask in a meeting is “why are we not making a decision?” There are loads of valid reasons to not decided on stuff but people need to understand inaction has consequences as much as action does.

Since GPT-5 I’ve noticed code suggestions are a lot more complex. Often offering stuff you didn’t ask for. I spend quite a bit of time stripping them back to simpler versions more appropriate for the setting Instead of favouring a frameworks style it will mix and match patterns

We recently built these super cool interactive maps for a client. 🗺️ As they progress through a challenge, their mascot moves along the path, completing the milestones on their way. It was great fun to experiment with using SVGs and layering in this way, even if Chrome's support presented a few hiccups.
