BREAKING: Prosecutors from the Manhattan DA's office file a motion asking a judge for a protective order that would ban Donald Trump from publicly exposing any evidence in the hush money case — meaning he wouldn't be able to whine all over social media like he usually does. According to the motion, Trump has a "longstanding and perhaps singular history of attacking witnesses, investigators, prosecutors, trial jurors, grand jurors, judges, and others involved in legal proceedings against him, putting those individuals and their families at considerable safety risk." If the motion is approved — and it should be — Trump will be blocked not only from posting evidence on websites like Truth Social, but also from disseminating it to third parties. Some sensitive records would only be accessible to him with lawyers present and he would be unable to copy, photograph, or transcribe the material, a wise decision given his history of stealing classified documents. Retweet if you would approve the motion if you were the judge!

@mljanderson @russpoldrack i think this principle can be generalized to determine the value of "neuro-*" disciplines. Take "neuromarketing" or "neuroaesthetics"; if you can make the same claims without using evidence from the brain, the neuro-* term is identical to the original * without the neuro.

@russpoldrack In answer to your question: if you can sub one word for the other without loss of semantic content it’s clearly just verbal. That’s the rare case. More typically you have to seriously investigate the web of ideas in which a given term fits, and compare the webs.
