@kelseyel_ Pharmacy is usually involved in the prep process when it happens so I’ll give them the first 2500 mg and they start to admin while I’m pulling up the remaining 2 grams. Overall good feelings about IVP at our place. We have 10, 20,30, and 50 mL syringes available though.

@kelseyel_ Prior to IVP we would hang multiple to gravity in the ER then realized we were losing a fair amount of drug in the line. In our ER it’s not uncommon for our pumps to be scarce when we are full. So time to find a pump essentially offsets drawing up vials in the scenario.

Hanging 3x 1500 mg bags (each run over 5 min) still has to be more effective than drawing up 9x 500 mg vials to administer via slow IV push 🥴
